About Tony Zhang

Drawing on a decade of experience addressing the complex financial needs of highly affluent families and their business entities. Tony Zhang provides holistic, cross-border wealth management solutions to an elite clientele of Asian and Asian-American executives and entrepreneurs. These efforts include the development of highly customized global asset management strategies, and pre-liquidity wealth management solutions. With a special focus on family wealth planning, Tony and his team serve as a virtual family office, solving complex financial puzzles for their clients. This often involves working closely with the specialists in Morgan Stanley Family Office Resources, as well as a select group of outside global CPAs and attorneys, to deliver sophisticated international tax, trust and estate planning advice.

Thanks to the trust his clients have place in him and his team, Tony was named a Forbes Best-In-State Wealth Advisor for 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024m and a Forbes Top Next-Gen Advisor in America from 2020 – 2023, and he was highly ranked in the Financial Planning Magazine “Top 40 Brokers Under 40” in 2022 and 2023.

Amy is a highly seasoned, multi-lingual financial services professional, with greater than 30 years of progressive experience with mass affluent and high net worth personal investing, consumer banking, accounting, and auditing. Amy joined Morgan Stanley in 2017 as a Vice President and International Client Advisor. Amy helps clients manage assets and liabilities and plan for retirement, tailoring her approach to each client’s individual needs. Annie Yu brings over three decades of wealth management industry experience to the service of the team’s clients. Annie began her career as a registered client associate at Prudential Securities. She moved on to Wells Fargo Securities, joined Morgan Stanley in 2008 and became a member of the Tony Zhang Group (PWM) in 2021. Annie graduated from the University of Southern California with a degree in finance. She speaks fluent Mandarin, Cantonese, and English.

At leisure, Annie enjoys cooking and Chinese Opera singing.

About Simon Zhang

Simon Zhang assists the team with investment analysis, portfolio construction, and performance reporting. His responsibilities include conducting comprehensive due diligence on investment strategies in both public and private markets, monitoring portfolio performance, and ensuring alignment with clients' financial goals. Additionally, he collaborates with the Morgan Stanley Global Investment Committee for the team’s equity, fixed income, and alternative investment strategies.

Simon graduated from Duke University Fuqua School of Business with a MS in Quantitative Management with a finance focus and a BS from Babson College with a concentration in Business Analytics. In his free time, Simon enjoys playing tennis, badminton, and golf, as well as spending quality time with friends and family.

About Ashley Ji

Aiming to address each client’s specific needs, Ashley Ji provides client and operational support in account opening and maintenance, market and investment research, and administrative tasks. Ashley also works with Tony to manage the team’s branding and marketing efforts. She helps with the team’s online and offline marketing strategies. She is dedicated to enhancing the overall client experience.

In addition to being fluent in Mandarin and English, Ashley is a proud double Trojan that holds an MS in Finance and a BA in Political Science from University of Southern California. In her free time, Ashley enjoys traveling and spending time with family and friends (and her friends’ cats). She has started practicing Pilates recently.

Peter Barash is a Private Banker serving Morgan Stanley Wealth Management offices in California.

Private Bankers partner with Financial Advisors to develop a specialized approach for managing clients’ cash flow, liquidity and financing needs, leveraging our comprehensive suite of cash management and lending solutions.

Peter began his career in financial services in 1984, and joined Morgan Stanley in 2010 as a Private Banker. Prior to joining the firm, he was a Private Banking Specialist at U.S. Bank.

Peter is a graduate of Columbia University, where he received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Comparative Literature. He holds an MBA from the University of Southern California. He lives in Glendale, California with his family. Outside of the office, Peter enjoys, hiking, playing bass guitar and reading.

Cris Vega is a Vice President and Financial Planning Director serving Morgan Stanley’s Wealth Management offices in Pasadena and surrounding branches in the Los Angeles, Riverside and San Bernardino counties. He is responsible for helping Financial Advisors with their clients' and prospects' financial planning needs.

Cris began his career in financial services in 2004 and joined Morgan Stanley in 2022. Prior to his current position Cris served high-net-worth clients at MissionSquare Retirement for over 13 years. Cris also has worked at Merrill Lynch and Banc of America Securities.

Cris Vega graduated from California State University of Fullerton and earned his Master of Arts in Economics. Cris also has earned his MBA from California State University of Los Angeles. His Bachelor of Science in Finance was earned at California State University of Long Beach. Cris holds his Certified Financial Planner® designation. Cris lives in Hacienda Heights, CA with his wife and daughters. Outside of work, Cris manages his daughter’s soccer team and holds a soccer coaching license. Cris is also a part time instructor of economics at CSU Fullerton.
