Until there is a cure, there is Camp!
Daniel Tedesco, Dennis Madden, Natassya Tossany & Ryan Rielly ran in the BCS Marathon in College Station, Texas to raise funds in support of Camp Kesem, a nationwide community of over 4,500 passionate collegiate student-leaders, that supports children through and beyond the experience of a having a parent diagnosed with cancer.

Kesem (which mean “magic” in Hebrew) is the largest national organization dedicated to this often overlooked population. Their primary programming, Camp Kesem, provides free summer camp so that there are no financial barriers to their support. In the summer of 2018, nearly 9,000 children attended summer camp during 125 week-long sessions of Camp Kesem held across 44 states. Camp Kesem provides a safe and supportive atmosphere, where children befriend peers who can relate to their unique situation, and gain the strategies and confidence needed to cope with their parent’s illness or death. At the same time, college students develop critical leadership skills as they create, manage, fundraise and run every aspect of their local chapter.

The Team ran in honor of everyone who has been touched by this devastating illness.
