About Jason Bernstein

Jason brings more than 30 years of financial experience to Morgan Stanley. Jason credits his success to his in-depth understanding and deep sense of responsibility to our clients. He treats his clients as if all are family. Building long term meaningful relationships is his mission. Jason's knowledge and experience forms the core of The Spartan Group and the strategies we bring to our clients. His motto is to always "Have a great day, and have a PLAN!". He creates a daily goal of helping all that he touches make the most educated decisions possible while eliminating emotion from the investment equation.

Jason is a New York native, where he graduated from Brooklyn College, Cum Laude, with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. He holds the AIF, accredited investment fiduciary designation. He also holds the IPD, insurance planning director designation.

A sports enthusiast, Jason coached youth sports, where he has served as a coach and coordinator for local baseball, football, softball and soccer programs through SBMSA, Spring Branch Memorial Sports Association. He and his wife MaryAnn have three children. Alyson, a University of Houston graduate, Jordan, a graduate of the University of Texas in the Business Honors Program and Jessica, a graduate of the University of Texas, McCombs business school. Tyler’s education at Texas A&M where he helped struggling students while getting his B.B.A. in Finance, as well as past experiences led him to find that his passion is helping people. He prefers to spend his free time in a tree stand, on the side of a mountain, or on the water somewhere pursuing his true love of hunting and fishing. He stays active lifting, playing tennis and golfing. They are members at Bayou City Fellowship in Spring Branch, and spend a lot of time with family, friends and their two dogs. They have a labradoodle named Hoyt, and rat terrier named Scout.

Cort joins the team as a graduate of The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor where he earned his B.B.A in Accounting. While earning his undergraduate degree, Cort had the opportunity to compete on the university’s Men's Golf team where he was awarded accolades such as All-American Scholar, Conference Champion, and Sportsmanship Athlete of the Year. After graduating, he spent the first 5 years of his career working in financial reporting. During that time, he attended The University of Houston at Clear Lake to earn his M.B.A. in Finance. Cort says that his love for numbers and relationships with people is why he is so passionate about his journey in wealth management with The Spartan Group at Morgan Stanley.
