Meet The Sound Path Group

About David M Chlus

David Chlus is a Managing Director, Financial Advisor, and Senior Portfolio Management Director with The Sound Path Group at Morgan Stanley. With three decades of industry experience, he is primarily responsible for helping clients prepare for retirement and other major life transitions.
David earned a Bachelor’s degree from Cornell University and a Master’s degree from Michigan State University––both in Agricultural Economics. He has been affiliated with the investment industry since 1986 and has been with Morgan Stanley since 1990.
David is a member of Little Falls Rotary Club and past Board Member of the Herkimer County Industrial Development Agency Board. David attends St. Peter & Paul Orthodox Church in Herkimer where he also serves as Treasurer.

Outside of the office, David lives in Little Falls with his wife Debie and their four children all nearby. In his spare time, David enjoys helping his family work on their Water Buffalo Farm.

About Sam Berardino

Sam is a First Vice President, Financial Advisor, and Financial Planning Specialist with The Sound Path Group at Morgan Stanley.

A graduate of Albany College of Pharmacy, Sam began his professional career with the Rite Aid Corporation in New Hartford where we worked for 8 years as the Supervising Pharmacist at the New Hartford location before joining Eli Lilly and Company. During his 20 year career with Lilly, Sam held several positions in sales, management, and account management.

In 2007, Sam left the health care industry to pursue a career at Morgan Stanley. Sam’s broad background and diverse experiences give him a unique perspective on financial planning and a good complement to his partners with The Sound Path Group. He is focused developing deep relationships with his clients to help them and their families achieve their goals.

Sam has always been civic minded and committed to his community. He currently serves on various non-profit boards, including; The House of the Good Shepherd, and Mohawk Valley Health System Foundation. Sam is a past board member of the Utica Industrial Development Corporation, Utica Landmark Tower Corporation, and the Greater Utica Chamber of Commerce, where he is a former Chairman of the Board.

Sam enjoys spending time with his family and friends. He and his wife, Laine, have two daughter as well as a grandson and granddaughter. He is an avid skier and golfer.

About Jeffrey Moro

Jeffrey Moro is a Senior Vice President, Financial Advisor, and a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ Professional with The Sound Path Group at Morgan Stanley. With over a decade of industry experience, he helps retirees, multi-generational families, business owners, corporate executives, and institutions craft successful financial plans for every stage of life.

Jeff graduated summa cum laude from SUNY Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a concentration in Finance. Jeff began his career at Morgan Stanley as an intern prior to holding various roles, ranging from sales support to operations manager, and served as Branch Manager of the Utica, New York office.

Within The Sound Path Group, Jeff’s focus is on goal-oriented wealth management. He first helps his clients translate their life goals into a set of financial objectives. Then he helps them work toward those objectives without sacrificing their risk protection. Relying on his experience as a branch manager and the global resources of Morgan Stanley, he strives to be a comprehensive financial resource and regularly goes above and beyond his role to do so.
