    Meet The Souma Group

    About Me

    Antoine Souma is a Private Wealth Advisor, Managing Director and a founding member of The Souma Group at Morgan Stanley Private Wealth Management. He and his team serve their select group of small business owners and ultra-high net worth clients with customized fixed income solutions, focusing on generating and preserving income for clients. Antoine also focuses on creating liquidity strategies that can help clients achieve a range of objectives without having to liquidate assets at an inopportune time.

    Antoine has over 19 years of experience servicing his domestic and international clients in the financial services industry. Prior to joining Morgan Stanley, Antoine was a Managing Director at J.P. Morgan Securities (2010 – 2016). He was previously a Vice President at Deutsche Bank (2008-2010) and began his career at UBS Financial Services Inc. where he was a Vice President (1999-2008.) In 2012, Antoine was named one of Barron’s Top 1,000 Advisors. He was also named to Barron’s Top 100 Advisors List for 2015 and 2016.

    Antoine graduated from the London School of Economics and Political Science with a BSc in Economics. He subsequently earned his MSc in Economics from his Alma Mater. In his free time, Antoine enjoys alpine skiing and tennis. He is married with two daughters.

    Zenia Delgado, Director of Business Strategy, has over 10 years of experience in the financial services industry and joined Morgan Stanley Private Wealth Management in 2016. As Director of Business Strategy, Zenia is the chief operating officer of the team and manages the team’s alternatives strategies.

    Prior to joining Morgan Stanley, Zenia was an Investment Associate at J.P. Morgan Securities where she was head of fixed income trading for The Souma Group. She has previously worked at Deutsche Bank and UBS Financial Services Inc. Zenia graduated from the University of Southern California with a B.S. in Corporate Finance. She enjoys solo travel, snowboarding, surfing and tennis.

    About Me

    Michael Blumenfeld is an Assistant Vice President with Morgan Stanley Private Wealth Management having joined The Souma Group in 2016 as their head fixed income trader. He is responsible for developing fixed income strategy, trading and portfolio management across client accounts. Michael looks for relative value across the spectrum of taxable, tax exempt and non-dollar fixed income securities.

    Prior to joining The Souma Group, Michael spent over six years at J.P. Morgan on the municipal trading desk where he was responsible for all aspects of trading. This included risk trading, providing liquidity to firm clients, portfolio construction, credit analysis, idea generation and facilitation of primary market business.

    Michael graduated from the University of California in San Diego with a B.A. in economics. Michael lives in Sherman Oaks with his wife and son. In his free time enjoys exercising and spending time with his family.

    About Me

    Julie Ahn is a Wealth Management Associate at Morgan Stanley Private Wealth Management. Having joined The Souma Group in 2011, she is our cross-border administrative specialist and the primary point of contact for client relations, in addition to providing business support for the team.

    Julie focuses on growing and maintaining the Souma Group’s client service platform, domestic and international new accounts, due diligence, account maintenance, cash management and lending. Julie is the Souma Group’s Chief Administrative Officer and has over 19 years of experience in the field of financial services. Prior to joining Morgan Stanley in 2016, Julie was a Client Associate at J.P. Morgan Securities, Deutsche Bank and began her career in financial services at UBS Financial Services Inc. in 2000.

    About Me

    Azelia Betancourt is a Registered Associate with Morgan Stanley Private Wealth Management. She is our Latin America client service specialist, and her focus areas include coordinating administrative activities and client meetings.

    Prior to joining The Souma Group in 2014 Azelia worked in wholesale distribution and has over 10 years of experience in client relationship management and administration. She graduated with a B.A. in International Business from California State, Mihaylo College of Business and Economics, Fullerton. Azelia is multi-lingual, has traveled extensively and lived abroad in Rio de Janeiro and Mexico City. She enjoys spending time with her husband and two young children.
