The Snyder Group at Morgan Stanley

Our Mission Statement
Our Story
We work closely with individuals and families to understand their goals, priorities, and evolving needs, then develop strategies designed to support them today and into the future. Our process is personalized, disciplined, and centered on helping clients make informed decisions with confidence.
In addition to serving individuals and families, we also work with business owners and company executives to help support one of their most valuable assets — their employees. Through the implementation and management of employee benefit programs, we help businesses provide meaningful strategies that can contribute to the financial well-being of their workforce.
At The Snyder Group, our clients are at the center of everything we do. We strive to be a trusted resource through every stage of life, cultivating lasting relationships that extend well beyond business and are grounded in care, accessibility, and long-term commitment.

Supporting an employer-sponsored retirement plan is a meaningful benefit for employees—and an important responsibility for business owners and plan sponsors. Led by a Morgan Stanley Corporate Retirement Director, Eric Snyder, our team helps companies navigate the many considerations involved in overseeing a retirement plan. This may include evaluating service providers and investments, addressing ERISA-related considerations, and developing education and engagement strategies designed to help employees better understand and use their workplace benefits.
Morgan Stanley's corporate retirement capabilities are designed to help businesses establish and maintain plans that align with their organizational goals and the needs of their employees. Our consultative approach may include needs assessments, plan benchmarking, provider and recordkeeper evaluations, fee analysis, Investment Policy Statement guidance, and ongoing investment monitoring. Depending on a plan's needs, we may provide non-discretionary investment advice under ERISA Section 3(21) or discretionary investment management under ERISA Section 3(38). In many cases, businesses may continue working with their existing recordkeeper while engaging Morgan Stanley as an investment professional for the plan. Employees may also benefit from financial education delivered through digital resources and live sessions.

About Coalter Smith
Golf has played a meaningful role in shaping who Coalter is. Competing at the collegiate level, and later professionally after earning full PGA Tour Americas status, gave him the opportunity to travel across North America — from the West Coast of Canada to the East Coast and many places in between. Those experiences taught him resilience, preparation, focus, and the importance of earning trust over time.
Coalter’s path to wealth management was also deeply personal. He grew up around the industry, with his grandfather, uncle, and father all having built careers in wealth management. Seeing firsthand the impact that thoughtful guidance and strong client relationships have inspired him to pursue this work.
Today, Coalter brings that same relationship-driven mindset to the clients and families he serves. He is passionate about understanding what matters most to each client, building lasting relationships, and delivering a high level of service with care, consistency, and attention to detail.
