About Karen Destino
I was born and raised in Rochester, NY. I started out in the brokerage business in 1987 as a sales assistant. From 1990 until 1998, I worked in operations of the brokerage business. While in operations, I became Series 7 and 63 licensed.
Working in operations was challenging, but I missed the contact with the clients. When the opportunity to work as a sales assistant again was presented to me, I jumped at the chance. I began working for Tom Sime in April of 1998. We have worked together for 20 years.
As a Senior Client Service Associate my focus is taking care of our client's needs whether it is simply sending them a check or just listening to them when their situations change. It is always exciting to hear about their new children, grandchildren or weddings. I am also here to help them through the more difficult situations such as aging parents, deaths of loved ones and the problems that face them and their families as they get older.
When I am not working, I enjoy being a season ticket holder for the RBTL broadway shows. I also have been volunteering with my church, Community Christian Church, at Frontier Field during the Spring and Summer months by working at the concession stands. I m very proud to say that we have raised more than $40,000 over the last 5 years with the handicap accessibility project.
I have been blessed with two wonderful daughters and one equally wonderful son. They are all very happily married with families of their own. I get the most joy out of spending time with my grandson, AJ and my granddaughter, Soleil. I don't get to see Soleil as often because she lives in San Diego, so I am always happy when I get to San Diego to see her.
I have found Morgan Stanley to be a most client sensitive and client focused organization that we have worked for, and I am very proud to be part of our team and this great company.
