Meet The Second Level Group

About Bruce Bennett

Bruce has spent his entire 34-year career as a Financial Advisor and Portfolio Management Director at Morgan Stanley. He oversees the Second Level Group’s tactical investment strategies, which continue to help clients successfully navigate today’s markets. His process is built on four core pillars: 1) Meaningful relationships 2) Minimizing risk 3) Comprehensive planning and 4) Strategic allocation.

Bruce grew up in Deming, New Mexico and upon graduating from high school enlisted in the U.S. Navy where he proudly served six years as a Nuclear Machinist Mate. He then attended college on the G.I. Bill at night while working as a letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service, eventually earning his B.S. in Finance and Accounting from Central Washington University.

Bruce enjoys spending time with his family and being “Pop-Pop” to his twin grandchildren. He’s also an avid tennis player and enjoys biking, hiking, and relaxing at his cabin in Montana.

Fun facts:

• Bruce may be best known (at least by his son) for catching an Alex Rodriguez homerun when the Seattle Mariners were still playing games at the Kingdome.

• Bruce once participated in a fan contest during the halftime show of a Seattle Sonics game. He won the contest and received a one-year supply of Campbell’s Soup.

About Adam Bennett, MBA

Adam leverages 15 years of experience in the sports and entertainment industry to address the unique needs of athletes, coaches, entertainers, and sports executives. He effectively merges The Second Level Group’s tactical investment strategies with a premium family office that streamlines clients’ financial needs. The benefit to sports and entertainment professionals is a customized plan that accounts for careers that can be time limited, income volatile, and liquidity intensive.

Adam earned his B.A. in Sport Management with an emphasis in Business Administration from Washington State University in 2008 and his MBA from Eastern Washington University in 2020. Prior to Morgan Stanley, he worked under late basketball agent Dan Fegan at Lagardère Sports and Entertainment, held roles in baseball operations with the San Francisco Giants and Houston Astros, basketball operations with the Indiana Pacers, and spent three years with ESPN’s Stats and Information Group.

He is the proud owner of two World Series Championship rings (San Francisco Giants), one California League Championship ring (San Jose Giants) and an Emmy Award (ESPN’s SportsCenter). He also contributed to a Big Sky Championship with Eastern Washington men’s basketball in 2015 and counts his completion of the 2017 Moab 240 ultramarathon as a top personal achievement.

Adam currently resides on Lake Tapps, Washington with his wife and their twins. His favorite leisure activities include CrossFit, running, golf, tennis, and boating.

Fun facts:

• As a kid, Adam participated in the Mariners’ pop-fly contest. Unfortunately, he only caught two of three and didn’t win the trip to Sea World.

• Adam and his wife had their wedding featured in Caribbean Wedding Style, which also included the wedding of 3-time MLB All-Star shortstop, Jimmy Rollins, and his wife.

• Adam’s dream car is a Classic Ford Bronco. On two separate occasions he owned one but sold both, which he painfully regrets. They now fetch six-figure price tags.
