Our Clients

Clients come to us for a multitude of reasons – but the biggest is trying to understand if they are on track to meet their goals. They have immediate concerns that can’t be answered by charts & graphs or an asset allocation:
• "What do I have to do to maintain my current lifestyle in retirement?"
• "Should I make a real estate purchase?"
• "What do I need to do to make sure my children are set for college?"
• “How much can I be gifting to my children and charity?”
• Their portfolio may consist of assets and liabilities in a variety of accounts, and they are looking to make sense of it all in a simple and efficient way.

Our team at Morgan Stanley's Laplata branch is comprised of experienced Financial Advisors who understand that most people simply want to know what they have to do to feel financially secure. And for different people, feeling financially secure can mean very different things. Whether you are seeking optimal portfolio construction and investment manager selection, or looking to understand how much to save or spend to stay on track to meet your goals, you can count on us to help you manage your financial life, no matter how complex it may be.

We help get you organized and understand what you’re earning, spending and saving and determine if the combination is putting you on the right road to achieving your goals. We help you make effective and efficient decisions for your financial life. As your life stage changes, so do your goals. We offer comprehensive financial planning that encompasses virtually every aspect of your financial life including banking, investing, borrowing, risk management, insurance, and estate planning. Finally, we offer exceptional service. Yes, we know everyone says that, but to us, service means saying yes more often than no. It means being there for you no matter what is happening in your life. It means providing you with solutions to your most complex challenges. And most of all, it means caring about you, your family, your plan, and your finances more than anyone else.

Meet The Rosenfield Group

About Chuck Rosenfield

In 1982, Chuck found his purpose and passion in helping people plan for their future and reach their financial goals. He works to ensure that they can live their best lives, free from financial concerns and worries.

Chuck was led to this role by his own personal experience. Just as he was celebrating his graduation from the University of Maryland in 1981, he lost both of his parents within an 18-month period. He learned at a very young age the power of having a financial plan and the peace of mind that comes with intentional preparation and prudent investment management.

With more than 40 years of experience, Chuck is a skilled and knowledgeable advisor. As the founder of The Rosenfield Group, Chuck oversees all aspects of the client experience – from discovery to financial planning and through implementation. He is the resident economic expert, lead idea generator, and treasured mentor to the rest of the team. He finds great fulfillment in helping clients understand complex financial concepts and feel confident in their investment decisions.

One of the core values to both Morgan Stanley and Chuck is giving back to the community. He has served Christmas in April, The Rotary Club of Leonardtown, St. Mary’s County Chamber of Commerce, St. Mary’s Hospital, and The University of Maryland Terrapin Club – and many as chair or president. He is currently the chair of the board of trustees for University of Maryland Charles Regional Medical Center. When he’s not working, serving, or spending time with his wife, Kim, you’ll see Chuck happily driving his convertible 1967 Chevrolet Chevelle to an area golf course.

About Kimberly Rosenfield

Kim often describes herself as a social worker for people with money concerns. Just as a social worker is devoted to helping people work through challenges they face in everyday life, good financial advisors are committed to strengthening and improving the lives of individuals, families, and organizations through personalized financial management.

Kim believes in the transformative power of education, so focuses on teaching and empowering her clients to make good financial choices. Investing is hard – from understanding complex products to overcoming natural human emotions that often lead to poor decisions. Kim is passionate about helping her clients learn, understand, and appreciate all that their money can do and use it to improve their own lives, their families, and their communities.

Kim has earned the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™, Chartered Retirement Plan Specialist™, and Qualified Plan Financial Consultant credentials. She holds special designations in workplace wealth so she can help deliver solutions to inspire both employers and employees toward financial wellbeing. Kim has completed leadership programs through Leadership Southern Maryland, Leadership Maryland, and Towson University’s Professional Leadership Program for Women.

Active in the community, Kim serves in governance roles for the Zonta Club of Charles County and The College of Southern Maryland Foundation where she focuses on empowering women by increasing access to education. Her work for the Association of Professional Investment Consultants (APIC) and the DC/Annapolis Complex Diversity & Inclusion Council centers around attracting more women to the financial services field.

Her greatest blessing is the opportunity to work with her best friend and husband, Chuck. Having successfully raised three children into adulthood and out of the house, they spend their free time traveling, playing golf, and working out at Coal Road CrossFit.
