About Kathleen Roeser

Kathy Roeser is a Managing Director and founder of The Roeser Barbanente Group at Morgan Stanley. For over 35 years, Kathy has been helping successful executives, professionals and multi-generational families build and protect their wealth.

Kathy’s strategy includes a goals-based approach to financial planning and creating tailored investment management solutions. Taking time at the outset to understand what matters most to each client allows her to create a customized plan that gives clients confidence that they can achieve their financial goals. From younger clients who are focused on wealth accumulation, to mid-life clients whose goals are asset preservation and retirement planning, to older clients who are thinking about estate and legacy planning, Kathy is the advisor they trust to create a personalized wealth-management strategy.

Kathy believes that an educated investor is a better investor, therefore she spends time at each client meeting discussing the capital markets and how they impact a client’s plans. She also is a frequent contributor to financial news publications, such as Forbes and Barron’s, speaks at investment management conventions and hosts financial-planning seminars.

In recognition of her experience and commitment to clients and educating the public, Kathy has received numerous distinctions and professional accolades. Recently she was named to Barron’s Financial Advisor Hall of Fame, which recognizes advisors who have appeared in 10 or more of Barron’s annual Top 100 Advisor rankings. Kathy, a Chartered Financial Consultant®, graduated from the Eli Broad College of Business at Michigan State University. She sits on Indiana University’s Dean’s Business Council and has served on Michigan State University’s Financial Markets Institute Advisory Board. Kathy is active with several charities, including the YMCA of Metro Chicago, where she serves on the Board of Managers, along with the Make-it-Better Foundation. Outside of the office, she enjoys time with her husband and two sons, playing golf and traveling.

About Roberto Barbanente

Roberto Barbanente is a Family Wealth Director and Chartered Retirement Plan Counselor® with over a decade of experience who focuses on working with clients to help develop comprehensive financial plans that address their personal wealth objectives. As a Family Wealth Director, Roberto works closely with families to fully understand their goals and deliver comprehensive, family-centric wealth management strategies. He is well versed in helping clients develop estate planning and wealth transfer strategies, as well as aiding clients to pursue their philanthropic goals.

Roberto takes a highly personalized approach to the clients he serves; he spends significant time discussing and delineating the varied aspects of a client’s financial life, from day-to-day concerns to long-term aspirations. He also has portfolio management responsibilities and oversees the implementation of The Roeser Barbanente Group’s business plan.

Roberto is a partner and has been a central member of The Roeser Barbanente Group since its founding. Having spent his entire career with Morgan Stanley, Roberto is experienced at leveraging his tremendous institutional knowledge to the benefit of clients. He exemplifies himself on his diligence, accuracy, and execution.

Roberto’s professional honors and achievements include 2021-2024 Forbes "Best-In-State Wealth Advisors" and Forbes’ list 2017-2024 “America’s Top Next Generation Wealth Advisors”. Roberto earned a B.A. in Accountancy from DePaul University, where he graduated with honors while playing Division 1 soccer. Outside the office, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two kids. About Matthew Roeser

As a Financial Advisor at The Roeser Barbanente Group at Morgan Stanley, Matt Roeser uses a goals-based approach to create tailored financial plans that help his clients navigate through all stages of their financial lives up to and through retirement.

Clients see Matt as the “go-to-person” whenever they have a problem or need financial advice. His experience on the servicing side (navigating Morgan Stanley’s offerings and capabilities, conducting financial and business transactions, and maintaining client accounts) makes him invaluable at problem solving and when working with clients’ legal, insurance and tax advisors.

Matt knows that financial planning and decision-making are difficult. He has the skills and experience needed to eliminate some of the worries about building and protecting wealth.

About Harris Mandel

Harris Mandel supports the team's clients by performing analytical functions related to portfolio allocations and reporting. He is also the team's liaison for executive compensation plans.

Harris is a Chartered Retirement Plan Counselor®, bringing years of client service experience and a vast knowledge of investment operations to his current position. In his previous role as a Client Service Analyst, he worked closely with clients to provide daily support for their requests, such as processing transactions, executing portfolio changes, and creating meeting reports and proposals. Prior to joining The Roeser Barbanente Group at Morgan Stanley, he worked in the Investment Operations Outsourcing department of a large bank, gaining a broad understanding of all aspects of investment operations.

About Charlie Manion

Charlie Manion assists in managing The Roeser Barbanente Group at Morgan Stanley's daily operations and administrative functions. He has a significant role in providing a high variety of client value-adding services, such as: running capital sufficiency and risk analyses, enhancing digital engagement, and ensuring clients understand and utilize the Morgan Stanley benefits readily available to them.

In addition, he is responsible for maintaining clients’ accounts and implementing marketing and social media strategies on behalf of the team. Charlie prides himself on providing highly attentive and efficient service to all clients. In his free time, Alex enjoys cooking, hanging out with friends, snowboarding, and organizing his annual golf outing that supports The Children’s Heart Foundation.

About Michael Roeser

As a Registered Client Service Associate at The Roeser Barbanente Group at Morgan Stanley, Michael Roeser supports both our financial advisors and our clients. He enjoys rolling up his sleeves and diving into the nuances of creating financial reports and conducting analysis on behalf of our clients, as well as answering calls to offer additional support for our clients.

Andrew Dittbenner is a Private Banker serving Morgan Stanley Wealth Management offices in Illinois.
