Kathy Roeser is a Managing Director and founder of The Roeser Barbanente Group at Morgan Stanley. For many decades, Kathy has been helping successful executives, business owners, professionals and multi-generational families build and protect their wealth.

Kathy’s strategy includes a goals-based approach to financial planning and creating tailored investment management solutions. Taking time at the outset to understand what matters most to each client allows her to create a customized plan that gives clients confidence that they can achieve their financial goals. From younger clients who are focused on wealth accumulation, to mid-life clients whose goals are asset preservation and retirement planning, to older clients who are thinking about estate and legacy planning, Kathy is the advisor they trust to create a personalized wealth-management strategy.

Kathy, a Chartered Financial Consultant^®, graduated from the Eli Broad College of Business at Michigan State University. She serves on Indiana University’s Dean’s Business Council and Michigan State University’s Wealth Management Advisory Board. Kathy is active with several charities, including the YMCA of Metro Chicago, where she serves on the Board of Managers, along with the Make-it-Better Foundation. Outside of the office, she enjoys time with her husband and two sons, playing golf and traveling.

Roberto Barbanente is an Executive Director, Family Wealth Director, and co-founder of The Roeser Barbanente Group at Morgan Stanley. He advises accomplished executives, business owners, professionals, and multi-generational families who are navigating the opportunities and responsibilities that come with meaningful wealth.

Roberto’s work centers on helping clients bring clarity, structure, and confidence to complex financial decisions. Through comprehensive wealth management, investment strategy, retirement planning, executive financial planning, and legacy planning, he helps families preserve what they have built, grow with intention, and prepare the next generation for long-term success.

Known for his thoughtful, goals-based approach, Roberto begins by understanding what matters most — family, business, lifestyle, philanthropy, and legacy. He believes informed clients make better decisions, and he is committed to providing clear, steady guidance through changing markets and important life transitions.

His dedication to clients has earned him recognition as a member of Morgan Stanley’s Master’s Club from 2023 through 2026, an elite group of the Firm’s top Financial Advisors. Roberto has also been recognized as a Five Star Wealth Manager Award recipient since 2023.

A graduate of DePaul University’s Driehaus College of Business, Roberto was also a Division I soccer player at DePaul — an experience that shaped his discipline, preparation, and team-first mindset. A first-generation Italian-American whose parents were born in Italy, he maintains strong ties to his heritage and enjoys traveling throughout Italy with his family.

Roberto serves on the Board of Managers for Clearbrook. Outside of work, he enjoys golf, travel, and spending time with his wife, their two children, and their two dogs.

Matt Roeser is a Financial Advisor with The Roeser Barbanente Group at Morgan Stanley, where he helps clients design personalized, goals-based financial plans to guide them through every stage of life—from wealth accumulation to retirement and beyond.

Known as a trusted “go-to” resource, Matt’s clients rely on him not just for financial advice, but also for help navigating complex situations. His early experience on the servicing side of the business gives him a deep understanding of Morgan Stanley’s platform, making him especially effective in coordinating with clients’ attorneys, tax professionals, and insurance advisors to provide seamless, comprehensive service.

Matt understands that financial decision-making can be overwhelming. He focuses on simplifying the process, helping clients make confident choices that align with their goals and protect what matters most.

Matt holds FINRA Series 7 and 66 licenses as well as Illinois Life and Health Insurance licenses. He graduated from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business in 2018 with a B.A. in Finance.

Adam Fleishman serves as a Managing Director and Senior Portfolio Manager at Morgan Stanley, leveraging over 38 years of investment experience to assist accomplished executives, professionals, individuals and families in growing and safeguarding their wealth.

Having spent the last Adam 30 years at Morgan Stanley, Adam believes success in achieving important financial goals starts with a comprehensive wealth strategy. Adam will help you define what is most important to you and then formulate the strategies that are appropriate for your needs, whether you are accumulating wealth or investing for income, solidifying your retirement plan or devising a distribution approach that helps meet your lifestyle and legacy goals.

Adam earned a Bachelor of Science in Business and Finance with honors from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1987. During that time, he was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa, Beta Gamma Sigma and was a three-time Letterman working as a student basketball manager under legendary Hall of Fame coaches Dean Smith and Roy Williams. He went on to earn his MBA from UNC Chapel Hill in 1991, again achieving Beta Gamma Sigma Distinction.

Adam serves on the UNC Investment Management Action Council and actively supports multiple charities. In addition, he enjoys spending time with his wife, three daughters, golf, traveling and playing with his dog, Miss Josie.

Harris Mandel supports the team's clients by performing analytical functions related to portfolio allocations and reporting, trading and retirement planning. He is also the team's liaison for executive compensation plans.

Harris is a Chartered Retirement Plan Counselor^®, bringing years of client service experience and a vast knowledge of investment operations to his current position as a Financial Planning Analyst. In his previous role as a Client Service Analyst, he worked closely with clients to provide daily support for their requests, such as processing transactions, executing portfolio changes, and creating meeting reports and proposals. Prior to joining The Roeser Barbanente Group at Morgan Stanley, he worked in the Investment Operations department of a large bank, gaining a broad understanding of all aspects of investment operations.

Harris' professional honors and achievements include FINRA Series: 3, 7, and 66 licenses, Illinois Life and Health Insurance licenses and Chartered Retirement Plan Counselor (CRPC^®).

Harris earned his bachelor's degree in finance from Bradley University. In his free time, he enjoys traveling, sports, and spending time with his wife and two children.

Charlie Manion assists in managing The Roeser Barbanente Group at Morgan Stanley's daily operations and administrative functions. He has a significant role in providing a high variety of client value-adding services, such as: running capital sufficiency and risk analyses, enhancing digital engagement, and ensuring clients understand and utilize the Morgan Stanley benefits readily available to them.

In addition, he is responsible for maintaining clients’ accounts and implementing marketing and social media strategies on behalf of the team. Charlie prides himself on providing highly attentive and efficient service to all clients. Charlie joined The Roeser Barbanente Group at Morgan Stanley following his graduation from Creighton University, where he majored in Financial Planning and German. At Creighton, he was involved in several clubs and organizations, including Creighton Club Hockey, Inter Residence Hall Government, the Freshman Leadership Program and the Dean’s Fellows Program. In his free time, Charlie enjoys traveling, working out and exploring the city with his friends.

With a commitment to high service, he plays an integrate role in establishing and maintaining client relationships. Peter joined The Roeser Barbanente Group at Morgan Stanley following his graduation from the University of Dayton, where he majored in Finance and Entrepreneurship. In his free time, Peter enjoys trying new restaurants, following Chicago sports and Dayton Flyer basketball, and playing golf.

As a Registered Client Service Associate, Alex brings a client-first, goal-oriented mindset to every interaction, working directly with the Financial Advisors and clients to help deliver personalized solutions that align with both short and long-term financial goals.

Alex has extensive experience on the servicing side of the business, where he skillfully navigates Morgan Stanley’s broad range of offerings and capabilities. He is responsible for conducting financial transactions, opening and servicing client accounts and ensuring a seamless client experience. In addition to his client service responsibilities, Alex plays an active role in implementing and executing marketing strategies and client events that help enhance business development and deepen relationships.

Alex’s professional honors and achievements include the Series 7, Series 63, and Series 65 licenses, as well as Life and Health Insurance licenses, allowing him to support a wide range of client needs across all forms of the business.

Outside the office, Alex is dedicated to giving back—he proudly hosts an annual golf outing benefiting the Children’s Heart Foundation, supporting critical research and care for children with congenital heart defects. In his free time he enjoys cooking, spending time with family and friends and snowboarding.

As a Wealth Management Associate for The Roeser Barbanente Group at Morgan Stanley, Michael Roeser supports both our financial advisors and our clients. Michael creates analytical reports to offer clients insights into their investments, as well as help them navigate various complex financial situations while offering strategic solutions. Michael also assists the team with its overall investment strategy and implementation, market research efforts, as well as serving as a general resource to our clients for their everyday needs.

Michael leverages previous experience as a financial analyst for Jones Lang LaSalle as well as a leadership role for a Chicago-based energy start-up where he managed the company’s client relations as their President of Customer Success.

A graduate from The University of Texas at Austin in 2019 with a degree in Economics and a minor in Business, Michael has a passion for playing and watching sports, traveling with his family and friends, and reading about history.

As a Registered Client Service Associate at Morgan Stanley, Celestina McLaughlin aids in supporting The Roeser Barbanente group and its valued clients. Celestina is passionate about maintaining secure client relationships through assisting in daily operations of the team and providing a range of administrative functions.

Prior to joining Morgan Stanley, Celestina worked with a large investment firm based in Minneapolis Minnesota. She earned her bachelor’s degree in biology from the College of Saint Benedict in May of 2020 where she spent her time as a member of the College of Saint Benedict dance team and volunteering with St. John’s Preparatory School. Outside the office, she enjoys spending time with her family, reading a good book, golfing with friends, and volunteering as a wish granter for The Make-a-Wish Foundation.

Andrew began his financial services career at the Union Bank of Switzerland (UBS) and joined Morgan Stanley after earning his BBA in Finance from Loyola University of Chicago. His role within the team revolves around helping families navigate interconnected financial decisions through personalized financial plans, estate planning illustrations, portfolio attribution analyses, and tax minimization strategies.

Andrew’s professional achievements include earning the Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor designation (CRPC^®) and holding FINRA Series 7 and 66 licenses.

When he’s away from work, Andrew can be found exploring new destinations with his wife Gina, catching a game with friends, or chasing around his French bulldogs, Bonnie and Reba.
