FOUR KEYS TO YOUR PERSONALIZED STRATEGY

Your needs and goals are the heart of our work when we develop a financial roadmap for you. To ensure that we structure the most comprehensive plan, there are four key steps we follow:
    Icon Image
    Getting to Know You
Because your financial plan is only as good as our understanding of you, we take the time to meet with you to learn more about you, your current financial situation, long-term goals and what’s important to you and your loved ones.
    Icon Image
    Developing Your Strategy
With a thorough understanding of you and your needs, we construct a comprehensive, customized analysis and plan which we will discuss and evaluate together before finalizing.
    Icon Image
    Implementing Your Plan
With the strategy and goals mapped out, we develop your proposal with comprehensive recommendations including saving, investing, insuring, borrowing and cash management. With your approval, together we begin to implement your plan.
    Icon Image
Monitoring, Reviewing & Revising Your Roadmap
Life evolves and circumstances change, so why shouldn't your financial plan? Not only do we monitor your plan and help manage your wealth, but we regularly check in with you, to review, touch base and stay up to date on what is happening, what is developing and what continues to be important in your life.

CUSTOMIZED SOLUTIONS

As your wealth grows, so does its complexities and the resources needed to manage it effectively. We leverage our experience and relationships to deliver innovative strategies that are tailored to your needs. We look forward to speaking with you to understand your challenges, so we may map out a strategy to achieve your particular priorities and goals.
    Icon Image
    Wealth Management
Wealth management brings all the dimensions of your life together. We listen carefully to understand the connections across your personal life, your family, your career, and your legacy goals to develop an integrated strategy that is uniquely yours.
    Icon Image
    Financial Planning
The cornerstone of an effective wealth management plan is comprehensive financial planning, which captures your goals, resources and expectations for the future. Effective planning can potentially lead to successful education and retirement income funding. It helps eliminate blind spots, and helps ensure legacy goals are met.
    Icon Image
    Retirement Planning
One of our key areas of focus is helping you prepare for and thrive in retirement. From IRAs to RMDs, we manage the complexities of your comprehensive retirement plan assets, helping you easily transition to the next phase of your life with security and confidence.
    Icon Image
    401(k) Rollovers
If you have a 401(k) from a previous job, we can help if you are considering consolidating your assets into one account so you can monitor your progress and investment results all in one place. If appropriate for you, this may help simplify your financial life, keep you organized and help make your money work harder for you.

    Disclaimer:
Consolidating accounts may not be right for everyone. Before consolidating, you should carefully compare your options, particularly the differences (including but not limited to, the differences in fees and expenses, investment options, and services) and speak with your own legal and tax advisor.
    Icon Image
    Cash Management and Lending Products
Cash and Liability management are integral to the planning process. We offer the same cash management services that a traditional bank offers, and more.
    Icon Image
    Trust Services
A flexible, third party corporate trustee program providing administration services along with personalized service and support from your Financial Advisor team.
    Icon Image
    Planning for Education Funding
Named after Section 529 of the Internal Revenue Code, a 529 plan is a tax-advantaged vehicle, which allows you to invest for future education expenses. A 529 plan creates an incentive for families to invest toward education costs because earnings in the plan can be tax-deferred, with withdrawals being exempt from federal and, in most cases, state income taxes if you use the funds for qualified expenses, such as tuition, fees, room and board, and supplies.
    Icon Image
    Qualified Retirement Plans
A business retirement plan is considered qualified if it meets certain rules specified by the Internal Revenue Code. The rules of the plan must be expressed in writing in the form of a plan document that outlines all plan provisions. A qualified plan may provide the following benefits to businesses:
    - An employer can receive a tax deduction for contributions made on behalf of plan participants
    - Plan participants can accumulate assets on a tax-deferred basis
    - Employees may receive tax-favored benefits at distribution

10Investors should consider many factors before deciding which 529 plan is appropriate. Some of these factors include: the Plan’s investment options and the historical investment performance of these options, the Plan’s flexibility and features, the reputation and expertise of the Plan’s investment manager, Plan contribution limits and the federal and state tax benefits associated with an investment in the Plan. Some states, for example, offer favorable tax treatment and other benefits to their residents only if they invest in the state’s own Qualified Tuition Program. Investors should determine their home state’s tax treatment of 529 plans when considering whether to choose an in-state or out-of-state plan. Investors should consult with their tax or legal advisor before investing in any 529 Plan or contact their state tax division for more information. Morgan Stanley Smith Barney LLC does not provide tax and/or legal advice. Investors should review a Program Disclosure Statement, which contains more information on investment options, risk factors, fees and expenses and possible tax consequences.
