Working With You

Dealing with financial matters can be time-consuming and difficult. Our goal is to be the team you and your family can trust for comprehensive financial advice so you can focus on what's important to you.

The first step in our process is getting to know you. The more we understand about your unique situation, the better we can craft a customized plan to help you realize your goals.

We carefully select investments that are appropriate for your goals and risk tolerance. We will present ideas to you and listen to your feedback, fine tuning the plan until it's ready to be implemented. Once the plan has been implemented, our team will monitor its progress.

Over time, your needs and goals may change. We schedule periodic check-ins to make sure your plan is up to date and still appropriate for you.

About Douglas A Reed

As Portfolio Manager of The Reed Group, I manage the assets of families, companies, and non-profit organizations. My interest in investing began when I was thirteen years old and I have been actively following the stock market ever since. I have been with Morgan Stanley and its predecessors for over 36 years and look forward to the opening of the stock market every morning.

 

For portfolios we manage, we look for strategies to grow a client’s wealth. To do this, we invest in growing and undervalued companies with excellent management. I spend much of my time researching companies and developing a deep understanding of the how well the management understands their own company.



However, portfolio management is only one aspect of a client’s financial life. My son Dan, our team’s Financial Advisor, in addition to studying the craft of portfolio management under my guidance, works with clients to create financial plans. These financial roadmaps can help clients prepare for life events such as funding a child’s college education, saving for retirement, and estate planning.

As Financial Advisor in The Reed Group at Morgan Stanley, my goal is to develop a deep understanding of a client’s needs to help them select an intelligent investment strategy. I develop financial plans with clients to help prepare strategies for life events such as funding a child’s college education, saving for retirement, and estate planning. And as life brings new challenges and your needs change, I would like to be there to help you navigate those waters.
