Our Story and Services

The Radecki Group draws on over four decades of financial experience to create a truly bespoke experience for every client. But how are they different?

Before starting his career at Morgan Stanley, Rob worked at two tech companies that IPOed while he was there. He is seasoned in guiding clients whose compensation is tied to stock grants. Rob’s experience throughout his previous tech career, where his salary was largely tied to company stock, gives gave him a deep, firsthand understanding of the distinct financial challenges tech employees face.

After realizing how confusing stock compensation could be, The Radecki Group’s mission evolved to educate clients and guide them on their financial journey. Richard’s decades of experience, coupled with Rob’s understanding of stock compensation form a dynamic father son team that truly understands their client’s financial needs and how to best serve them.

Our Main Focuses

We offer many services but these four are what our practice specializes in.
    Icon Image
    Financial Planning
What Richard and Rob do with clients is prepare their
clients with a financial plan. This is what they give the
majority of their clients. They make a plan specifically for
what the clients need and for their best interest. A main
reason they make a plan is so the clients know what is
being invested, how much is being invested, and so there
is transparency between the financial advisor and the
    client.

A few benefits of having a financial plan are to be
financially independent, potentially retiring early, having
an improved financial understanding, and financial
    security.
    Icon Image
    Individual Stock Portfolio
Whether starting from scratch of diversifying away from a concentrated position, the logical next step is to create a portfolio that suits your needs. While it has become somewhat common to use funds or indexes, Rob and Richard have found great success in picking individual stocks. Using his decades of experience Richard has found that building a portfolio of individual stocks may outperform an index because it allows us to be more intentional about what we own.
    Icon Image
    Equity Compensation
Significant portions of many of our client’s income is tied up in Equity Compensation – more commonly known as Stock Options. This structure can be life changing managed properly. Our goal is to help you do just that by leveraging our experience and expertise. Rob has seen many of the common mistakes people make through making them himself in a prior life working in the startup world. From ISOs to RSUs we help clients understand the value of equity compensation and how to get the most out of it by breaking down these complex types of stock so you have a full understanding of what you own and have rights to.
    Icon Image
    Concentrated Stock
One of the most common side effects of Equity Compensation is the unintentional creation of Concentrated Stock Positions. In simple terms, stock concentration is holding large amounts of equity in one company. This often happens naturally when Equity Compensation is a part of how you are paid. Our job is to help alleviate the risks these positions often create while still helping you realize their inherent benefits. We do this through careful analysis and thoughtful evaluation to guide you to take advantage of diversifying your holdings where appropriate.
    Introductory Call
Our first goal is to get to know you and introduce you to our team. This simple exercise helps us see each other as people and not just as clients and financial planners. It allows us to discover common interests and the core motivations and values of each client. And most importantly it affords us both a first opportunity to decide to move forward together.
    Discovery Process
After our introductory call, we will want to learn more about you, your goals, and the expectations you have for us. Through exploration or your comfort with investing, finances, risk tolerance, and other relevant factors that contribute to your financial decision-making processes we create the baseline for your custom financial plan.
    Analysis and Plan Development
The financial plan gives us direction of where you want to be in the future. With the plan created, we turn our attentions to portfolio construction. Our goal is to select securities that are in line with your lifestyle and comfort with investing in general. This leads to a portfolio that fits you while achieving the goals you have articulated through the planning process.
    Implementation
By walking intentionally through this process, the final step – implementing the strategy - becomes mere formality. Every plan is different, and every client has specific needs. The attention that we invest together through the first steps results in a plan we are both investing in seeing succeed.

A fun family tradition is each year for Christmas, they take a family trip to Leavenworth. That gives the whole family a chance to have some fun in the snow while getting some quality family time.

Richard and Rob know that family is the most important in life. They make sure to take that family based approach with all of their clients investment goals.

About Rob Radecki, CFP®, FPS

Prior to joining Morgan Stanley, I worked long hours at a tech startup just like many of my clients. That hard work paid off when two of those companies went public. These incredible experiences were punctuated with periods of uncertainty around compensation, because, like many tech professionals much of my net worth was tied up in company stock. While this compensation structure can be a windfall, it quickly became clear that there was a lack of education surrounding it.

Like you, I had questions about all my options with company stock and could have missed taking full advantage of them. Fortunately, my father has worked at Morgan Stanley for 40+years and was able to give me the advice I needed to make the right decisions. Because of the stark need to bridge that gap between the incredible levels of wealth creation and sound financial decisions, I decided to pursue a career as a Financial Advisor at Morgan Stanley and work together with my father. That way we can bring you thoughtful knowledge and solutions based upon the challenges you face.
