Our Story and Services

Managing wealth has become both more sophisticated, and more complicated. Certainly, we have more information, more evidence, more refined analysis and more intellectual capital available to us than ever before. But all that comes with greater demands – more choices, more complexity, and more potential problems – all at a time when most people would rather focus on living their lives, not worrying about their money.

We combine the most sophisticated wealth management tactics with a passion for helping people live the lives they choose. We believe in making complicated things simple for our clients. Our clients believe in evidence, intelligence and the power of the human intellect. They look for experience, credentials, and integrity. They expect to be treated with care, honesty and respect. We invite you to explore our web site and see what we believe in when it comes to wealth management and client service, and discover for yourself if we are the right wealth management choice for you.

WHO WE WORK WITH

We have been helping people manage their wealth for decades. During that time, we have noticed that clients and advisors often self-select – clients choose (and stay with) advisors who fit their needs.
    Icon Image
    Women
A traditionally underserved population, women value an advisor who listens, answers their questions and understands the demands of their life. Women are drivers of change in the world who tend to take a different approach in relationship to wealth.
    Icon Image
    Entrepreneurs
Starting a business brings along with it a great deal of financial risk. Provide us your vision, we'll agree on a path, and walk it together, optimizing risk and managing the complexities until we achieve it.
    Icon Image
    Purposeful Investors:
Many investors are seeking ways to invest with purpose and to make an impact with their investment choices. These individuals ask for wealth management solutions that may include utilizing responsible investments that are screened for environmental, social, and governance reasons.
    Icon Image
    Retirees:
Retirees have both a short-term (“Will I have enough?”) and long-term (“What can I leave?”) perspective. They require a comprehensive wealth management solution that encompasses cash flow, trust services, philanthropy and other considerations.
    Icon Image
    Multi-Generational Families
If you are concerned about ensuring that your family is prepared for the wealth they are to inherit or receive, we are here to help. We work across generations to not only streamline the transition, but also to educate and inform, to make sure your hard work is preserved.
    Icon Image
    Sudden Wealth
If you need help determining how to invest your proceeds after coming into sudden wealth, we work with business owners planning to sell, recipients of divorce settlements or inheritance, and everyone in between.

My Four Pillars of Wealth Management

Every client is unique, every circumstance is different. Yet our observations and decades of experience have revealed some core ideas that we believe are applicable to every client. We call them the Four Pillars of Wealth Management.
    Icon Image
Pillar 1: Focus On The Big Picture
First, we make recommendations that reflect our client’s goals, and are based on a defined strategy. Second, because investing doesn’t happen in a vacuum, our recommendations are filtered through a macroeconomic view.
    Icon Image
Pillar 2: Money and Emotions Don’t Mix
Human beings routinely make decisions that are neither evidence-based nor rational. The emerging field of behavioral finance posits that human decisions are emotionally driven, and based on inaccurate biases. With this in mind, we help clients make the right decisions for the right reasons.
    Icon Image
Pillar 3: There Are Two Sides To Every Story
Investors tend to focus on return – but every investment also carries risk. We evaluate our recommendations for both potential return and risk. We also calculate a risk factor for every client based on their goals. Everyone loves a great return – but inattention to risk can prevent you from reaching your goals.
    Icon Image
Pillar 4: Keeping the Next Gen in Mind
By providing a comprehensive cross-generational plan, we will help you navigate the complexities of managing the significant wealth you have acquired for you and your family.

An Institutional Level of Service

We have significant experience working with institutions, such as endowments, foundations and hospitals. We’ve adopted many of the demands of institutional clients into our service model for individuals and families. For example:
    Icon Image
    A Family Office Approach
Institutions expect an advisor to provide bold yet thoughtful advice on every financial decision. The family office model means we can provide comprehensive wealth management that is both informed and reflective of your overall strategy.
    Icon Image
    Knowledge And Education
Even the most seasoned institutional investor needs to work with a board of directors who may not share their financial sophistication. Similarly, individual clients may have family members who need our help to understand their financial landscape.
    Icon Image
    Simplicity
Institutions often require complex investment strategies, but prefer to keep decision-making simple. Our approach – Sophisticated strategies, simple choices.
    Icon Image
    A Trusted Relationship
Institutions need to trust their advisors for frank advice, frequent and lucid reports, financial transparency and personal integrity. As your team of financial advisors, you can depend on us for this kind of relationship.
