My compassion for people and high level of emotional intelligence are always front and center when dealing with clients. Close friends, family members and colleagues refer to me as the "Care Bear." It's a term I try to live up to each day, assuring people that I'm not just a financial planner, but more importantly, I'm a trusted advisor who listens carefully to my clients in order to help them achieve their personal goals. There are a lot of emotions and family dynamics involved when it comes to money. I'm very sensitive to those aspects of the business and understand the need for a caring partner to guide you through the wealth management process.
Today my focus is on what I commonly refer to as the "sandwich generation." These are clients in their 50s, sandwiched between the responsibilities of raising children/grandchildren while often caring for elderly parents, both financially and emotionally. It's a niche because this is the time in people's lives when they usually have the most money and yet are still in the accumulation stage. It is critical that these individuals do not lose sight of their own needs while saving for retirement, and I act as a guide to help them find the right balance.
When I'm not working, I enjoy spending time with my wife Sherri, three children and six grandchildren. My hobbies include golf, traveling, billiards and volunteering.
