Our Story and Services

The Phillips-McIntyre Group caters to a highly educated clientele whose financial requirements demand a distinct level of acumen and attention. Longtime clients include active and retired attorneys, physicians, scientists, biotech industry professionals, corporate officers, business owners and entrepreneurs in the Raleigh area and across the nation.

“Clients are smart. But while many face financial transitions, they don’t have the time (or take the time) to prepare. We serve ‘people with better things to do’ than manage their wealth. Most are referred from their CPAs and attorneys when selling a business, experiencing divorce, or a liquidity event. We enjoy helping clients at critical times – to help them enjoy meaningful financial outcomes,” David McIntyre points out.

With years spent crafting personalized wealth management strategies, The Phillips-McIntyre Group takes a “sleeves-rolled-up” approach to helping clients identify concerns and aspirations. “Our discovery process guides us – and it’s fluid, not a one-time event. We ask clients questions meant to provoke thoughtful answers,” Jonathan Phillips says. “We also scrutinize trust and insurance documents, so that likely and unlikely circumstances can be addressed. Building a solid relationship leads to a solid strategy for moving forward.”
