About Ron Phillips
In 1997, after a very successful 17 years as president of a leading women’s retail clothing chain, I decided to pursue my passion for investing. Starting a new career as a 40 year old rookie could prove a daunting task for some-- but I knew my passion for the markets, as well as my ability to see problems as nothing more than something to solve, would be the advantage I needed to succeed. My first year, I received the Triple Crown Award, given by Smith Barney to the top new advisor, nationwide.
Today our business has grown into a very successful practice, driven by the individual goals and needs of our clients. Our business is focused on assisting with all aspects of financial planning, including: retirement, college, estate planning strategies, insurance, and access to lending services.
Outside of the office, I am married to my wife, Ruth, and a father to six children and twelve animals. I have been a volunteer and past president of the Suicide Prevention Center for over 31 years and past president of Temple Beth Shalom. I am a graduate of UC San Diego, with degrees in Economics and Psychology.
