About Matthew Kibbe

Matt Kibbe is a Certified Investment Management Analyst®, a Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor℠, Executive Director, and a Wealth Advisor at Morgan Stanley. With over 30 years of experience at Morgan Stanley, Matt concentrates on financial planning and investment management for high net worth families.

A 1993 graduate of Cal State University, Fresno, Matt graduated cum laude with a B.S. in International Business. Matt’s introduction to the financial services industry came immediately after graduation when he worked as an assistant to a Financial Advisor. He subsequently worked and lived in Switzerland and Germany for almost a year. Upon return, Matt joined Morgan Stanley as a Financial Advisor where he’s been ever since.

Matt believes in forming close, long-term relationships with the families he works with. He is proud to serve several generations of those families, some of whom have been clients for decades. He begins with a wide-ranging assessment of his clients’ financial position and a comprehensive analysis of their present needs and future goals. Then he creates wealth management plans that incorporate retirement and estate planning strategies, philanthropic giving, insurance needs, and a blueprint for the transfer of wealth to the next generation.

Committed to offering his clients the most current ideas and investment practices in the industry, Matt has attained two prestigious certifications in his field. He earned the designation of Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA®) from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, as well as the designation of Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC®).

In recognition of his accomplishments, Matt was named to the “Best In State Wealth Advisors” by Forbes.com Shook Research in 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024*.

In his free time, Matt is active in his community. As his son advanced from Cub Scout to Eagle Scout, Matt served in his Boy Scout Council in a variety of roles. He also gave support to his daughter’s Volleyball Club. Matt plays Golf and Tennis and is learning to play guitar. He lives in Newberg, OR with his wife and his children are now graduating college in the United Kingdom and San Diego.

About Maicy Wear

Maicy Wear is a 2024 graduate of the University of Arizona. Maicy graduated cum laude with a B.S in Personal and Family Financial Planning. She was heavily involved in her academics; she participated in the Financial Planning Association Collegiate Competition and went on to place 3rd nationally. She was named Outstanding Senior for the University of Arizona Graduating class of 2024. She interned at Morgan Stanley during the summer of 2023, and now has rejoined the team full time and looks forward to bringing innovative ideas and values to the firm.

Maicy enjoys getting involved in the community. She has volunteered for the Women’s Heart Health Association, volunteered at local volleyball camps, and participated in various philanthropic events during her time involved in the Beta Epsilon Chapter of Alpha Phi.

Maicy currently resides in West Linn, OR and enjoys traveling, playing volleyball, and spending time with her friends and family.

Martha Knapp is located in the Morgan Stanley Lake Oswego office. She has worked in various roles in the financial services industry since 1994 and joined Morgan Stanley in 2011. Martha joined Matt Kibbe in late 2012, where she provides a high level of service to clients as well as prepares portfolio performance reports and investment proposals.

Martha is proficient in Branch Operations and all Firm systems. She brings to the team a strong marketing and service background. Martha is a native Oregonian with strong family ties to the area. She graduated from Oregon State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Liberal Studies with concentrations in English Literature and Fine Art. Martha is Series 7 and 66 registered as well as a Licensed Oregon Insurance Agent.

Martha and her husband Chris live in Tigard, OR. In her free time, she enjoys seeing live music, reading, traveling and gardening.
