About Jeff Phillips
Prior to becoming a Financial Advisor, Jeff worked for 15 years in institutional equities, helping professional money managers, hedge funds, pension funds, and other large asset managers grow their assets and generate returns. While there was a significant focus helping professional money managers reach their goals, he found there was little emphasis on building long-term relationships and helping clients reach their own goals. This idea brought Jeff to becoming a Financial Advisor.
Jeff takes the time and detail to focus on each client’s individual goals, and takes immense pride in building a long-term relationship with every single one of his clients. In Jeff’s own words, he likes to develop the “relationship through trust,” and “the relationship will grow as the clients find a connection with me and my team.”
For Jeff and the rest of the team – it is all about a professional relationship and having trust between the client and the advisor.
The Page Mill Groups Client Approach:
Jeff and the others start with a financial plan, Goal Planning System (GPS) or Lifeview. He takes the time to understand the client’s goals and objectives, and what is most important to them. Upon fully understanding the objectives and goals, the Page Mill group will deliver recommendations and illustrate how the client will reach those goals and over what timeline. As well as cover potential risks. Seeing the client achieve their goals and objectives is the best part of the business for the Page Mill Group.
Jeff lives in San Mateo with his wife and two kids. Outside of work, Jeff is active in many Bay Area charities, he and his family believe heavily in giving back to the local community. He is also an avid youth soccer and baseball coach. In his free time, Jeff enjoys spending time outdoors, specifically skiing, golfing, and traveling.

About Michael W. Sosnow
Michael grew up in Overland Park, KS and went to Tulane University. He has been in the financial industry for 25 years and at Morgan Stanley since 2008. Michael originally got his start as an institutional equity trader across various firms in San Francisco, CA. He found a deep enjoyment of the investment world and in 2008 he decided that he wanted to take a step away from the institutional side of finance and move over to helping individuals and their families.
Michael’s goal as a financial advisor is to help clients define and strive to meet their goals in way that they see fit. He does this by consistently delivering most, if not all, of the resources Morgan Stanley has to offer, and always in a way that is most appropriate for them. The most important objective for Michael is to deliver solutions to clients on how they should invest their money in a way that they are both satisfied with and in a way that they can truly believe in. Helping preserve what they have, and growing in a way to meet all future needs down the line.
Outside of the office Michael enjoys being outdoors, specifically, cycling, hiking, cooking, and travel to new places. Michael is an avid Chiefs fan and never misses the games on Sunday.

About William A Michaelsen
William, “Bill”, graduated from McDaniel College with a degree in Finance and Economics. He began his career in finance at Legg Mason in 1993 in Baltimore, in 1995 he made the move to PaineWebber (now UBS) in Manhattan, and worked there until 2000. In May of 2000, he moved to Menlo Park, CA and joined Smith Barney, which is now Morgan Stanley. Bill thoroughly enjoys being a financial advisor for a variety of reasons, however, the most important one to him is being able to help families and clients work through complex executive and family situations. His goal is to make the idea of finance “more efficient for clients”. This is done through Bill’s incredible dedication to all his clients and the maintaining integrity throughout every facet of the business.
Bill has dedicated his entire career to helping others achieve their goals, especially those clients with more sophisticated needs involving executive compensation, stock plans, liquidity events, and families with an international presence. He offers a unique combination of knowledge, experience, and specialized skills in order help his clients have peace of mind when it comes to their finances. The bond between the client and the advisor is what Bill values the most.
Outside of work Bill enjoys spending time outside, his favorite activities are skiing, boating, and other associated active sports. Bill has 4 daughters and loves to spend time at their sporting events, whether it be Field Hockey, Swim, or Water Polo.
