Value investing, hometown roots

Hard work, trust, diligence and education--these are principles core to your values and core to our wealth management strategy. Sound wealth management comes from working with a team which constructs a financial strategy grounded in these values and which is tailored to your wants and needs.

Proper planning requires more than just selecting products off a shelf. You want a team which puts your interests first, is direct about options, and offers clarity and confidence regarding your investments. Wherever your path takes you--whether you're looking to finance a daughter's new home or rebuild a family after an unexpected loss--a personal and thorough financial plan tests and solidifies the outcome. By overseeing our clients' portfolios personally, we stay true to our hometown roots, keeping your interests as close as our own.

As your Financial Advisory team, The Omaha Group listens to your passions and future plans and helps pave the road for your individual journey. Our senior advisors have worked with our clients since the early 1980s, we've walked our clients through every step of their financial voyage--not just as their Financial Advisors, but as friends. Create the future you envision for yourself--and for your family.

Working With You

We start by listening to you-- your dreams, your concerns and, more importantly, the legacy you hope to leave for you and your family. That first step together leads us along a path where we construct a portfolio that dovetails to your personal objectives. As a boutique firm, we have the ability to guide you along every turn, helping you construct a wealth strategy plan that is uniquely yours.

    Step 1. Introductory Meeting
Our relationship begins with an initial discussion aimed toward getting to know you, your family, your lifestyle and your future goals.
    Icon Image
    Step 4. Implementation
The implementation phase focuses on putting your goals into practice. You can expect this phase to include gathering of statements and documents and signing your account opening documents via DocuSign. Once we have opened all of the relevant accounts, we will put into practice the strategies outlined in your financial plan presentation.
    Icon Image
    Step. 2 Discovery Meeting
During the discovery meeting, we will put together all of your financial information, including your current investments, employer sponsored retirement plans (past and present), your assets and liabilities, and your goals for the future into a comprehensive financial plan. For this meeting, we normally set aside 30-60 minutes.
    Icon Image
    Step. 5 Monitoring
Once your strategy is in place, we will be monitoring your progress toward your goals. Your financial plan will be regularly discussed, and you will receive regular statements that show your progress toward your goals. During the Implementation phase, we will set you up on a regular meeting schedule. Meetings may be held either in-person, via phone or via Zoom video conference.

    Step. 3 Financial Plan Presentation
Financial plans are normally presented either in person or via Zoom video conferencing. Our plan for you can be as simple or as complex as your situation requires. During this meeting, you’ll be given opportunity to make corrections and update your goals and we will offer our analysis and recommendations, which may include adjustments to your financial plan, investment allocation, company benefits and insurance coverage.

About Nicci Clark

Nicci Clark is a Financial Advisor, Vice President and Senior Portfolio Manager. She joined Morgan Stanley Wealth Management as a Financial Advisor in 2013, and in April 2019 she joined The Omaha Group at Morgan Stanley.

After graduating with a finance degree from the University of Nebraska, Nicci began her career as a captive life insurance agent. She quickly grew frustrated with the pressure to sell insurance solutions when she realized that life insurance was a solution to a narrow set of problems and wanted to have a more comprehensive set of solutions for her clients. That’s when Nicci attended Creighton Law where she studied business law. This validated her concerns that too many people in the industry were solving problems with complex products that were unnecessary in many cases. After graduating from law school, she started a business planning practice, which evolved into an estate planning practice. Working with clients on their individual estate plans gave Nicci an understanding about family dynamics and legacy planning, as well as gave her an opportunity to educate clients about what they should be doing to maximize their earnings and preserve their legacy.

Nicci typically starts her client onboarding process by putting together a comprehensive financial plan. Through this process, she will discover the most about each client, and will overall determine if she is a good fit for them. This gives both parties a roadmap for the future advisor-client relationship and helps her see the clients’ goals through their perspective on the world. Once the relationship is established, she will then schedule regular calls to check in on changes that might impact their financial plans.

In addition to her busy professional career, Nicci has served on numerous non-profit boards. Nicci currently sits on the Nebraska DECA Advisory Board (a high school marketing club). She also chairs the Elkhorn Public Schools Foundation Alumni Scholarship committee, which gave out its first scholarships to Elkhorn students beginning in 2023. Nicci currently holds a CFP (Certified Financial Planner) designation, a CDFA (Certified Divorce Financial Analyst) designation, and a QPFC (Qualified Plan Financial Consultant) designation.

Nicci currently lives in Papillion, NE with her husband, Chris, who is a retired USAF Colonel, who is currently a contract instructor pilot at Offutt AFB. son, Joel, recently graduated from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan and works in Chicago. Their daughter, Courtney, is a music education major at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and plays tuba in the Cornhusker Marching Band. In Nicci’s free time she enjoys playing piano, going to Husker events, and traveling.
