About Jordan Thayer

I believe that successful folks should spend their time living the life they love with the people they love. That’s why I start by listening – to discover what’s on your mind, and what you're working towards. Then, I work with you to create a step-by-step plan that provides a template for your financial life.

This vision of what a financial advisor can do comes from two sources: my dad was a financial advisor so, growing up, I saw how invested he was in the success of his clients. Then, as an officer in the Marine Corps Reserves, I learned the importance of careful planning and preparation, attention to detail and keeping my mouth shut and listening. I even helped out my Marines in planning for their financial futures, which is why I decided to pursue it as a career. I’d see these big, tough Marines open up about their financial fears for the future, then see how much more optimistic they’d become when they had a plan – as the saying goes, “If you fail to plan, then you plan to fail."

As part of the University Group at Morgan Stanley, I work with successful clients including small business owners and executives of Fortune 1000 companies. My goal is to provide a boutique experience with the resources and backing of a global wealth management firm.

Outside of work I enjoy training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, sailing and boating around the Pacific Northwest. My wife Julie and I enjoy taking weekend adventures with our daughter Grace to Mt Rainier National Park and hiking as much as possible. As an avid reader, I enjoy anything pertaining to geopolitics, biographies and non-fiction in general. Julie continues to try to interest me in fiction, but I can’t seem to make the leap.
