    About Me

    Jack Oehmke
    Senior Vice President
    Government Entity Specialist
    Financial Advisor

    With more than 20 years of experience in the financial services industry, Jack believes in building long-term, trusting relationships with clients and their families. By gaining a detailed understanding of his clients’ current needs and future aspirations, he helps them develop and implement customized strategies for growing, preserving and transferring their wealth.

    Jack is one of only four California-licensed Morgan Stanley Financial Advisors to have been selected as a Government Entity Specialist, allowing him to engage in advisory and/or brokerage activity with government entities. This designation signifies Jack’s ability to deliver strategies that address each municipality or government’s investment objectives, while adhering to the state’s specific rules and regulations.

    Prior to joining Morgan Stanley* in 2008, Jack was a Financial Advisor at Paine Webber/UBS for 15 years. Before that, he was a bank examiner for the state of Kansas and worked in various banking and sales roles, giving him unique insight into the value of planning for the future and providing first-in-class service. Jack earned his Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Studies with a focus on Economics, English and Sociology from the University of California Santa Barbara.

    Born and raised in Chicago, Jack has called California home for nearly 50 years. He lives in Ojai with his wife, Mattie. They have four children and enjoy fly-fishing, hiking, biking, snowboarding, tennis and RV travel. So far, they have visited 16 states and hope to one day journey to all 48 states in the continental U.S. Jack is a member of the California Society of Municipal Finance Officers.

    Heidi Oehmke

    The newest member of The Oehmke Group at Morgan Stanley, Heidi combines a highly analytical approach with empathy and a strong sense of stewardship to assist clients in protecting what matters to them most. She believes in the importance of sound advice and proactive planning and is committed to helping empower clients to take control of their financial future. Her bright, fearless personality and fresh perspective enable us to connect with the next generation of clients and change makers.

    Heidi works with individuals, families and small businesses, helping them prepare for the retirement they envision. As a Government Entity Associate, she also assists us in providing investment advisory services to U.S. government entities.

    Prior to joining Morgan Stanley* in 2015, Heidi worked in sales at Syngenta, a leading agriculture company dedicated to improving global food security through innovative technology. This experience in sales helps her to build lasting relationships and deliver the high level of service our clients deserve. Heidi earned her Bachelor of Science and Master’s of Science degrees in Agricultural Sciences from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, where she received many state and local scholarships and was a member of Phi Alpha Xi, an honors society.

    When she’s not busy helping clients, Heidi enjoys spending time with daughter, Emma. They enjoy playing tennis, hiking and being in the outdoors. Heidi is an active member of Soroptimist International of Ventura, a global volunteer organization working to improve and empower the lives of women and girls in the local community and throughout the world. She is also a member of California Women for Agriculture.

Whether she is providing investment advice, processing trades, cultivating relationships or overseeing all aspects of our operations, Mattie inspires confidence with her unique balance of financial knowledge, professionalism and warmth. Our clients and their families rely on her to understand and help them achieve their goals. Mattie entered the financial services industry in 1998 to assist Jack in building the family business. While working full time as a Financial Advisor, she went back to school and earned her Bachelor's Degree in Liberal Studies with a focus on History, Anthropology and Religious Studies from the University of California Santa Barbara, fulfilling a long-time dream. Prior to joining Morgan Stanley, Mattie was busy raising four wonderful children. Mattie and her husband, Jack, live in Ojai and have called Ventura County home for over 25 years. In their spare time, they enjoy spending quality time with their children and being outdoors, hiking, biking, playing tennis and exploring the country by RV.
