Meet The Northshore Group

About Greg Rieland

Greg Rieland began his investment career in 1998, joining his now retired father as a partner in The Rieland Group. As Co-Managing partner of The Rieland Group, his primary responsibilities included client relationships, investment strategies, liability management and client acquisition.

In 2021, Greg became a partner in The Northshore Group. In this role, Greg continues to develop customized investment strategies for high-net-worth clients with a comprehensive perspective in wealth management.

Outside of the office, Greg is an active volunteer in his community, devoting time as a boat captain for the local high school fishing team, and as an assistant baseball coach for the youth baseball program. Greg is an avid hunter and fisherman, and enjoys snowmobiling and spending summer weekends at the lake.
Greg is an active member of the Knights of Columbus, and Mary Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Rogers. Greg also finds time to support several charities including the Ronald McDonald House, the ALS Minnesota chapter, his local parish, as well as many local educational institutions and foundations.

Greg is a graduate of Totino Grace High School in Fridley, MN and St. John's University in Collegeville with a Bachelor’s degree in Economics. Greg resides in Rogers, Minnesota with his wife Sara and their children, Carly, Matt and Joe.

About R. Frank Stains

Frank is the founder of the Northshore Group at Morgan Stanley and is a Senior Portfolio Manager. With over 30 years in the financial services industry, Frank holds the titles of Senior Vice President -Wealth Management, as well as Financial Planning Specialist.

Frank's areas of focus include portfolio construction using technical analysis, fundamental and personalized portfolio management. He provides clients with a level of personalized portfolio management for high net worth individuals and institutional clients, creating customized investment strategies and solutions.

Frank is a graduate from Grace College in Winona Lake Indiana, where he double majored in Business and Psychology. He also played baseball for the Lancers. 

Frank is married to his college sweetheart Renee and has two adult twin boys, Daniel and Andrew. In his free time, he loves outdoor activities and spending time with his family.

About Gretchen Bennett

Gretchen began her career in the financial services industry in 2015, joining the Northshore Group at Morgan Stanley as their Registered Associate. Since then, Gretchen has become fully licensed, receiving her Series 7 and 66 licenses. As the Client Services Associate, she is primarily responsible for client service, helping to safeguard assets, and operational support for Financial Advisors.

Gretchen graduated from St. Cloud State University in Minnesota, with a bachelor's degree in Business Management.

Outside of work, Gretchen enjoys spending time with her husband, Jake, and their two daughters, Hannah and Alexa. She loves to stay active through volleyball, motorcycle rides, boating, and working out. Her family also has two boxers, Luna and Beau, who always keep them entertained with constant wiggles and love.
