Our Story and Services

In Silicon Valley, they use the word “disruptive” to describe technologies that fundamentally alter our daily experience. For investors, disruptive ideas and technologies offer profound opportunities for growth … if you have the knowledge and insight to choose the right ones. At the same time, investors are people with life goals, passionate interests, and families to care for – they seek comprehensive wealth management so that every financial decision is strategically aligned with their short-, medium- and long-term objectives.

Our team serves both these needs – we offer an investment philosophy centered around the potential for disruptive growth, along with goal-based planning, wide ranging and thoughtful advice, and high-touch service.

We call our approach the GO Strategy – GO is an acronym combining Goal-based wealth management with the Opportunities for disruptive investment tactics (see the GO tab for more about this). We pursue important opportunities for clients who are excited about new ways to help make money, while also providing the confidence of working closely with an advisor that knows you, your family, your preferences and ambitions. It can be a powerful combination for the right kind of client.

OUR FUNDAMENTAL IDEAS & PRINCIPLES

When selecting a wealth management team, nothing is more important than shared values – shared values creates a positive working relationship from day one, and may be sustainable into the foreseeable future. You have a right to know what your team believes in, and frankly, we much prefer to work with clients who think like we do.

Accordingly, here are the six core values that guide our team:
Our Core Values:
  • Find ways to help: No matter what you are trying to accomplish, our team’s wide range of skills, experiences and contacts can make a difference.
  • Be hands-on: We are not a “set it and forget it” team. We are responsive, accessible and deeply involved with our clients.
  • Get in on the ground floor: Our team has a pioneering spirit when it comes to helping build portfolios with businesses that we think can disrupt the status quo.
  • Zig while others zag: We don’t believe in simply accepting easy answers or the common “wisdom.” We’re always looking for opportunities that go against the grain.
  • Make connections in every field: Effective wealth management is built on relationships. Our personal networks extend throughout established and emerging fields.
  • Be passionate: Managing wealth isn’t merely a job for us. We love the excitement of investing in something important …
What Are Your Goals?
  • Every wealth management professional begins a relationship by asking some version of this question. He or she is looking to understand you and your ambitions – what you hope to accomplish, to acquire, to leave for future generations.
  • However, for some clients, goals may be less straightforward, as much about the vast opportunity as incremental results. Our team has a passion for using wealth to help create, build and develop something important, something that generates fundamental change, that transforms the world in which we live.
  • Generally, an investor must choose between these two approaches. It’s a question of the advisor’s mind-set – aiming to reach goals around retirement, education and so on often means that an advisor avoids bold choices, while one seeking transformational opportunities may not be thinking about your personal goals.
  • But our team was specifically assembled to combine both mind-sets – Goals AND Opportunities. Our GO Strategy is an unusual, distinctive approach that may not be for everyone. However, if you enjoy the excitement of pioneering the way into a bold future, but within the context of the lives of you and your family, our GO Strategy may be precisely what you are looking for.

The Benefits of a Qualified Retirement Plan for Business Owners
If you are a sole proprietor or solo business owner, you may not realize that there is a retirement savings program designed for individuals like you. You may work full-time for your own corporation, or perhaps you are a consultant or independent contractor earning self-employment income.

In work environments like these, you oversee your own retirement planning. A market-based qualified retirement plan may be a way for you to access savings benefits enjoyed by employees working in larger companies but designed to fit the needs of an individual entrepreneur without employees, or a small team.

    Battalion Buddies Event
In honor of Veterans Appreciation Month, our team was able to join the Veterans Employee Network (VEN) and partner with Operation Gratitude, an organization dedicated to supporting deployed service members and their families.

Our team members were able to help stuff and send "Battalion Buddy" bears to the children of deployed service members for the holidays. With each of these bears having an inspiring message on their “dog tags” we wanted to make sure these children knew they were not alone during the holidays. Not only is our team dedicated to supporting the veterans of our country, but we also make sure their family members are supported as well.

Although Veteran’s Appreciation Month is officially November, we encourage everyone to go out and support out veterans year-round. We would like to thank Operation Gratitude for their partnership and their mission to supporting our selfless veterans and their families.
