Our Story

The Moss Bogatch Group at Morgan Stanley was founded by Financial Advisors Craig Moss and Alan Bogatch in 1993. Both partners are former CPAs, but they do not perform accounting services at Morgan Stanley. Alan Bogatch also holds a CFP®, which he has used in his role at the Firm since 1993.

We believe in a "team" approach to financial planning, which helps our clients achieve their ultimate goals. With over 70 years of combined investment experience*, we consider each client’s unique financial situation and offer appropriate recommendations based on their objectives and risk tolerance.

Our approach focuses on educating and providing premier service to each of our clients. We place life planning before investment selection. As part of our commitment to our clients, we strive to help you and your family achieve its long-term goals in the accumulation, growth, and planned disposition of your assets. We are also skilled in many areas of corporate planning.

About Craig Moss

Craig has over 28 years of experience helping people with their retirement and investment needs. He began his career on Wall Street in November 1982, after working as a CPA for Ernst & Young and Deloitte Haskins & Sells.

Craig's focus is on helping clients match their investment needs with the right products and services available in the marketplace. He understands that investors historically have achieved higher rates of return by taking on an increased level of risk, but he also knows that past performance is no guarantee of future results.

In addition to his career in the financial industry, Craig has taught several continuing education courses at local universities including Hofstra and Queensborough College. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Babson College, where he graduated with highest honors.

Craig was born and raised in New York City and now lives in Plainview, Long Island, with his wife Melissa and their two children, Danielle and Ashton.

About Alan J Bogatch

Alan has over 29 years of industry experience helping clients with financial, retirement, college, investment, and estate planning. He is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) and has worked closely with clients in all areas of financial planning and tax advice.

Alan began his career at Ernst & Young, where he achieved the position of manager. He then started his own financial planning and tax practice with Financial Planning Associates Inc. in New York City. In 1994, he joined Craig Moss, and they continue to work together to help clients achieve their financial goals.

Alan takes clients through his comprehensive 5-step program to help develop their financial plan. He is passionate about helping clients achieve their goals and live comfortably and secure.

Alan was born in Brooklyn and raised in Jericho. He is a graduate of Syracuse University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and an MBA in Finance.

For over 30 years Denise has worked in the Financial Industry. She began her career as an Internal Auditor for Herzog, Heine & Geduld. Thereafter, she worked at Barclays de Zoete Wedd on the Asset Sales/Commercial Paper Desk as a Financial Analyst until joining Morgan Stanley Smith Barney in 2000. Denise’s formal education includes a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from St. John’s University. Denise was born in Queens and now resides in Long Island with her husband, Tom and her two boys, Justin and Brandon. She has also achieved her Series 7, Series 63, 66 and is Insurance Licensed including Health, Life and Variable Annuities.
