About Sean W Hosty

Sean Hosty – Executive Director, Financial Advisor, Senior Portfolio Management Director, CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER

A partner of the Monument Group at Morgan Stanley and a Portfolio Management Director with over 20 years of experience at Morgan Stanley, Sean leads the investment management of customized portfolio’s for clients.   He is also head of the research and selection of our ETF, mutual fund, fixed income and alternative investments and manages these discretionary investment portfolios for the group.  His services include retirement income planning, 401(k) reviews, asset management and comprehensive wealth planning.   

Sean received his Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Virginia Tech and his MBA in Finance from George Mason University.  He earned his Certified Financial Planner designation in 2002.  He is an active member in the community serving as Chairman of the Arlington Chamber of Commerce in 2006 and as the President of SCAN of Northern Virginia (Stop Child Abuse Now) in 2015 and 2017 – an organization created to help promote the well-being of children, improving parent-child relations and preventing child abuse and neglect. He is also currently on the Professional Advisors Council for the Arlington Community Foundation.

About Elena Kochman

A partner of the Monument Group at Morgan Stanley and with over a decade of industry experience, Elena is lead manager for client’s interested in discretionary Social Impact Investing.  Elena also helps clients manage and identify the appropriate investment vehicles to meet their charitable goals using Donor Advised Funds, Private Foundations, Charitable Remainder Trusts or other charitable structure seeking to maximize the positive impact to the charity and the client. Whether a checkbook philanthropist, or the desire to create a lasting legacy, Elena strategizes with the families and individuals to create the story and achieve the impact they wish to implement.

Elena is also responsible for developing tailored financial plans, including risk management analysis, to meet client’s short and long term financial goals and is integral in executing core strategies for the team.

Elena received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology with a minor in Business Administration from the University of Delaware and earned her Certified Financial Planning designation in 2011. Elena is currently a member of the Rainmaker’s Giving Circle whose mission is to improve the lives of economically vulnerable girls and women age 21 or younger by supporting programs that help them develop useful life skills, improve their self-esteem and achieve their full potential.

About Sarah R. Brasington

Joining in early 2022, Sarah is the newest member of the Monument Group at Morgan Stanley. Sarah earned both her Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Master of Science in Management from George Mason University. She earned her CFP® designation in 2020. Outside of the office, Sarah participates in several charitable activities during the year including the Walk to End Alzheimer’s in Bethel, NY. She also plays co-ed soccer in the Fairfax County area and has an adorable goldendoodle puppy, Sonny.
