Our Mission Statement
We understand the complexities of wealth and deliver tailored advice and solutions to help achieve the financial goals you've set for you and your family.
A Personalized Approach to Family Wealth Management
As your wealth grows, so too does its complexities and the resources required to manage it effectively. At The Monk Group at Morgan Stanley, we are an experienced team of credentialed professionals dedicated to providing tailored advice and resources helpful in simplifying your financial life. We seek to accomplish this through a highly personalized approach that focuses primarily on listening, so that we may gain a thorough understanding of the priorities and goals that are most important to you and your family.
As a successful corporate executive or business leader, your finances become more complicated as you take on more and more responsibility. We understand the challenges you face and the level of sophistication you expect. Over the years, we have developed the knowledge and proficiencies needed to help optimize your wealth, while integrating outside assets into a comprehensive wealth management plan. Most importantly, we are committed to building longstanding relationships, and are proud of the fact that many of our clients have been with us for many years and have allowed us the opportunity to help them grow and preserve their assets over multiple generations.
Money, in and of itself, does not always create the necessary capabilities to manage it skillfully. Our vision is to be recognized as a premier advisory practice dedicated to helping financially successful individuals and their families manage the intricate issues involved in comprehensive wealth management. We believe the more complex your financial situation, the more valuable we are to you and the more rewarding your overall experience will be.
At The Monk Group, we know how hard you are working to achieve your goals, and will work even harder to help ensure your wealth leads to continued prosperity for you, your family and the causes you care about most.

Our Philosophy
We are committed to the following core beliefs that serve as the foundation of our practice:
We believe you are entitled to the best advice possible.
To gain the precise knowledge needed to manage all aspects of your wealth, we work closely with your accountant and estate planning attorney. Where appropriate, we consult with our network of specialists within Morgan Stanley and across the industry to evaluate your unique challenges and devise specific recommendations.
We believe in total wealth management.
Retirement assets, equity compensation and insurance policies should not be managed as separate entities, but rather as vital components of your overall financial picture. As an experienced advisory team at Morgan Stanley, we are uniquely positioned to take a holistic approach to executive wealth management. All of your assets, including the benefits you receive from your employer, will be integrated to ensure they are working together to help meet your overall goals.
We believe in education.
Financial education for you and your family is fundamental to our practice and helps ensure continuity as wealth moves from one generation to the next. We believe it is our responsibility to assist your parents and your children as they face important financial challenges. We provide access to resources they may not otherwise have access to, and are here to answer critical questions that may impact the long-term wealth of your extended family.
We believe in long-term relationships.
Successful wealth management begins with personalized service and attention. We invite potential clients to meet with us to share their needs and expectations. We look forward to working with professionals who seek the kind of long-term, fully engaged relationships we value. The bond we form is fundamental to our mission and it is our hope that it spans generations.

About Truman Cooper
Truman Cooper is driven to help professionals and business owners develop and implement disciplined investing, retirement, and insurance plans that will help them overcome uncertainty and achieve their goals. He believes successful people all share a common bond: They encounter important life events that require timely guidance to help them make the right decisions for themselves, their careers, and their families. He is there to help them each step of the way.
Truman learned first-hand the joys and challenges of being an entrepreneur from his father, who ran a successful company in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. As a result, he has a natural affinity for entrepreneurs’ needs and goals. He remains fascinated by the innovation and resolve that leads to the creation of new ventures. Truman admires entrepreneurs’ selfless motivation to help secure their employees’ futures as well as their own. This kinship, fascination, and admiration has led Truman to provide specialized services for business owners. Besides offering traditional retirement planning and wealth management services, as a Corporate Retirement Plan Specialist, Truman offers his clients executive benefit and financial services, as well as advice on corporate, qualified, and defined contribution retirement plans. Truman also has life, accident, and health insurance licenses, allowing him to provide comprehensive guidance on protecting the personal assets of his clients, their families, and their employees.
After graduating Oklahoma State with a degree in Finance, Truman became a Financial Advisor at AXA Advisors. He subsequently joined Morgan Stanley, attracted by the resources it could provide for clients. Truman was drawn to The Monk Wealth Management Group’s dedication to using those wide-ranging Morgan Stanley resources to provide comprehensive guidance to clients.
Truman enjoys running, bowling, and collecting fine tequila.
