You’ve Built Something Significant. Now It Needs to Be Managed That Way.

Most high-earning professionals and business owners reach a point where their financial life becomes more complex than their current advisor is equipped to handle. Multiple income streams. A business with real valuation. Stock compensation. A growing estate. Tax exposure that’s quietly compounding year after year. That’s the moment people find us.

The Miller Group at Morgan Stanley serves as a financial resource for your family — a dedicated team focused on coordinating multiple dimensions of your wealth. We take a holistic approach to your financial life, including investment strategy, retirement income planning, estate and legacy planning strategies, tax-efficient investing, alternative investments, and lending solutions.

Our clients are mid- and late-career professionals, business owners, corporate executives, physicians and medical professionals, attorneys, families navigating a liquidity event or business sale, and multi-generational families across the Carolinas and beyond. They come to us seeking a comprehensive relationship to help manage their financial complexity, moving beyond simple transactions to a disciplined, wealth management process.

What Working With Us Actually Looks Like

We believe client communication should be structured and intentional. Every client meeting is organized around specific strategic pillars - such as — legacy and tax planning, retirement and income strategy, risk management, or year-end wealth transfer.

We collaborate with your CPA and estate attorney to help align your broader financial plan. Our process includes reviewing beneficiary designations, estate documents, insurance coverage, and retirement distributions. We look at your wealth through a disciplined lens, keeping your long-term financial objectives in mind.

Through Morgan Stanley’s institutional platform, we provide qualified clients access to a robust menu of alternative investment funds — including private equity, private credit, hedge funds, and real estate.

The Miller Group has been named a Forbes Best-In-State Wealth Management Team four consecutive years — 2023, 2024, 2025, and 2026.

Craig Miller brings nearly four decades of experience and holds the Certified Investment Management Analyst® (CIMA®) designation, with deep expertise in estate planning and alternative investments.

Sutton Miller was individually recognized as a Forbes America’s Top Next-Gen Best-In-State Wealth Advisor in 2025, and holds designations as an Alternative Investments Director and Financial Planning Specialist.

Our experienced client service team — Jill Johnson, Tami Rhyne, and Alexandra Loucas — strives to handle every interaction with our office with precision and care. Together, we bring decades of generational depth, specialized industry knowledge, and a genuine commitment to the families we serve.

A Process Built Around You — Not a Template

Many advisory relationships follow the same playbook: open an account, build a model portfolio, send a quarterly statement, repeat. Our approach is designed to look at the broader picture.

Before we make recommendations, we seek to understand your complete financial situation. Your income. Your business. Your family. Your estate strategies. Your tax considerations. Your timeline. The goals you’ve talked about and the ones you haven’t put into words yet.

Our process is structured to be thorough and deliberate. Every step exists to help ensure that we design strategies and are accounting for your complete financial life, not just your assets.

Our clients tend to be individuals and families who navigate significant financial complexity - including multiple income sources, business ownership, and intricate estate needs. They often seek a team capable of handling these distinct moving parts with care and coordination. You'll find that our process isn’t a funnel, it’s the beginning of a long-term relationship.

We work with clients to address complex financial pain points, focusing on areas such as:

• “My advisor manages my investments, but nobody is managing my financial life.” We can assist on coordinating your broader financial life.

• “I know I’m paying too much in taxes, but I don’t have a real strategy.” We can collaborate with your CPA and define one.

• “I’ve heard about private markets but don’t know if they’re right for me.” We can educate you and help you evaluate if it makes sense for you.

• “My estate plan is outdated and I’m not sure my family is protected.” We review your current plan and assist you to identify any potential gaps.

• “I’m approaching a liquidity event and I have no idea what comes next.” We can assist you to manage through major transitions.

Private Investing

By leveraging Morgan Stanley’s extensive Investment Management platform, we can provide more opportunities for our clients to achieve their goals. As a leading provider of private investment strategies, Morgan Stanley's expertise spans across private equity, private credit, hedge funds and real estate.

The alternatives market has matured significantly in recent years, offering more structure and stability in its role as a portfolio diversifier. Today, with public markets historically concentrated, we believe private investments offer a more compelling risk/return profile for high-net-worth clients. But to do their job, alternative investments must be chosen carefully. The Miller Group conducts its own due diligence in conjunction with the dedicated alternatives manager research and access provided by Morgan Stanley to deliver custom alternative investment strategies with established track records and proven reputations.

6Investors should consider many factors before deciding which 529 plan is appropriate. Some of these factors include: the Plan's investment options and the historical investment performance of these options, the Plan's flexibility and features, the reputation and expertise of the Plan's investment manager, Plan contribution limits and the federal and state tax benefits associated with an investment in the Plan. Some states, for example, offer favorable tax treatment and other benefits to their residents only if they invest in the state's own Qualified Tuition Program. Investors should determine their home state's tax treatment of 529 plans when considering whether to choose an in-state or out-of-state plan.
