About Matthew W Hayford
Matthew W. Hayford is a Senior Vice President, Portfolio Management Director and Financial Advisor at Morgan Stanley. Matthew oversees the strategic and tactical implementation of private client and small business assets.
Since 1995, Matthew has been advising wealthy families across the U.S. on asset allocation and financial planning issues while being a Senior Vice President of Investments at UBS Financial Services, Inc. and a Principal at Bernstein Investment Research and Management. He focuses on portfolio management, multi-generational planning, complex trust and estate issues, retirement planning, small business financial solutions, including defined contribution and defined benefit plans.
Matthew holds a B.S. degree in Agricultural and Resource Economics with a major in small business management from the University of Vermont. He is registered with FINRA, SEC and CFTC with Series 3, 7, 31, 63 and 65 registrations. In 2016, he obtained the Chartered Retirement Plans Specialist designation. He lives in Summit, New Jersey with his wife and 4 children.

In this role, John's primary responsibility is to foresee the administrative duties for the team and our clients. In addition, John works to keep the team organized, streamline its operations, as well as provide general assistance to our clients' questions or concerns. He pays great attention to detail, has many bright ideas, and adds a fresh energy to the team. John is fully licensed for this position, holding both his Series 7 & Series 66 registrations.
