We use these to guide each client toward a data-driven strategic plan in which we evaluate portfolios and provide solutions. We also offer transitional counseling, working with generations of families to help ensure continuity of wealth, legacy planning, and access to resources both within and outside of Morgan Stanley to meet complex needs. We are particularly sensitive to helping higher net worth clients, and move beyond performance by maintaining regular meetings and portfolio reviews to keep us abreast of any changes or challenges, constantly tracking these against each client’s goals. We also work with a network of highly regarded attorneys and CPAs within the Anchorage market, to provide even more comprehensive service and greater access to resources for our clients.

About Lin I May

Lin has been a Financial Advisor at Morgan Stanley since 1977 and is a founding partner of the May Longlet Cook Group at Morgan Stanley.

Throughout her career in the financial industry, Lin has focused on the unique challenges faced by women entrepreneurs. She has received numerous industry awards and recognition, including being named to the 2024 Forbes America's Top Women Wealth Advisors & Forbes Top Women Wealth Advisors Best-In-State* and 2024 Forbes Best-In-State Wealth Management Teams**.

A longtime resident of Alaska, Lin resides in Anchorage with her husband. As a graduate of the College of New Rochelle (BA), Lin is an Investment Management Consultant Associates Member and was an Anchorage Senior Center Endowment Trustee Head of Investment Committee from 2001 to 2008.

Lin shows her love of nature as a member of the Master Gardener Association Anchorage Chapter and Audubon Society Anchorage AK Chapter.

Ian McCormick is a Private Banker serving Morgan Stanley Wealth Management offices in Oregon.

Private Bankers partner with Financial Advisors to develop a specialized approach for managing clients’ cash flow, liquidity and financing needs, leveraging our comprehensive suite of cash management and lending solutions.

Ian began his career in financial services in 2011, and joined Morgan Stanley in 2015 as a Private Banker. Prior to joining the firm, he was a Director of Business Development at Fort West. He also served as a Production Manager-Loan Officer at Churchill Mortgage.

Ian is a graduate of Oregon State University, where he received a Bachelor of Science in Finance. He lives in Portland, Oregon with his family. Outside of the office, Ian enjoys hunting, fishing, skiing and rafting.
