Meet The May Group

About Me

Will May is Executive Director with Morgan Stanley’s Wealth Management division.  Will is currently a Wealth Advisor, Senior Portfolio Management Director, and Corporate Client Group Director, and he is the founder and senior partner of The May Group at Morgan Stanley.   His business focuses on assisting corporate employees with their equity compensation, as well as handling the wealth management of section 16 employees and board members.

Joining Morgan Stanley in 1984, with a service model tailored to the unique needs of highly compensated corporate executives, Will quickly built a reputation as an expert within the community and Morgan Stanley.   Beginning in 1987, Will began to provide stock plan administration services to corporations.   He and his team work with clients from a variety of industries including Financials, Healthcare, Industrials, Technology, and Utilities.  Will helped found NASPP – Atlanta Chapter and was the president of the organization for many years.

Through his leadership and dedication, The May Group has grown to become one of the largest advisory groups within Morgan Stanley.  He earned his BS in Marketing and Finance from Georgia State University.

About Me

Michael joined Morgan Stanley in 2008 from the commercial aviation business. Starting as a sole practitioner, Michael has built a team of professionals focusing on the unique needs of high-net-worth executives and business owners. As a Financial Advisor and Associate Stock Plan Director, Michael’s team specializes in the complex issues surrounding compensation and financial planning for employees of publicly traded companies. 

Michael is increasingly involved in the Atlanta community, striving to match his experience and expertise with causes and organizations for which he is passionate. Currently Michael serves as a member of the Board of Directors for Atlanta Community Ministries (ACM) and chairs a number of committees for the visionary and influential organization. Michael can also be frequently found at Frankie Allen Park where he volunteers as a coach for Buckhead Baseball as a Majors Giants coach. Michael is a competitive triathlete and runner having competed in a full distance IRONMAN race and the Boston Marathon.

About Me

Bill joined Morgan Stanley in 2013 with a service model built on designing custom strategies to address the financial needs of individuals, families and foundations. Bill’s professional specialty is working with individuals with concentrated holdings, entrepreneurs, and private foundations. He provides systematic and technical support for the group’s investment portfolios, operations, and account management.  Bill also provides business development services for the corporate side of The May Group’s business.

Before joining Morgan Stanley, Bill worked for NCR Corporation within the Manufacturing and Global Operations divisions. He sits on the board of North Metro Georgia Tech, a group dedicated to granting scholarships for incoming Georgia Tech freshmen.  Bill earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering with a Certificate in Finance from Georgia Institute of Technology.

Charles is a Financial Advisor and Financial Planning Specialist with the May Group at Morgan Stanley.  He develops highly customized wealth management solutions for corporate executives, entrepreneurs, privately held corporations, and private foundations/endowments. 

Joining The May Group shortly after joining Morgan Stanley, Charles was brought on to increase the level of client service functions for current and future clients. He also assists clients with portfolio reviews, asset protection strategies and philanthropic giving tactics.   

Charles is a native to Atlanta. He earned his degree from the University of Alabama and currently serves as the treasurer of the local Alumni Chapter. He currently lives in Alpharetta with his wife Whitney. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family or playing golf, both of which require the same devotion and discipline he applies to his clients’ needs.
