Meet The Maner Group

About LuAnn G Maner

LuAnn G. Maner is a Senior Vice President, Certified Financial Manager, and co-founder of The Maner Group, a wealth management team located in Raleigh, NC. LuAnn focuses on financial and wealth management strategies designed to help meet individual client needs. Retirement planning and wealth transfer planning are specific focuses of her business.

A graduate of UNC Chapel Hill, she earned her B.S. in mathematical sciences in 1986. She began her financial advising career in 1987 in Atlanta, and has worked at Morgan Stanley (formerly Smith Barney) since 2004. She has also held several financial roles within her community; she has served as the treasurer of three area schools and as the head of stewardship at her church.

Outside of the office, LuAnn enjoys exercising, playing pickleball, playing the piano, and reading. She and her husband, Barry, also like to travel to Ocean Isle Beach with other family members and friends. Her son, Clay, is one of her partners at Morgan Stanley and her daughter, Abby, is an attorney in Raleigh.

About Clayton Maner

Clayton C. Maner is a Financial Advisor and co-founder of The Maner Group, a wealth management team located in Raleigh, NC. Clay focuses on education planning, retirement planning, and individual portfolio management.

Clay graduated from The University of Tennessee in 2018 with a B.S. in mechanical engineering. Before joining Morgan Stanley in 2019, Clay worked briefly as a research scientist with Oak Ridge National Lab. Currently he is active in many of the young professional organizations throughout Greensboro and enjoys playing a role in helping other young professionals get started in their careers.

When Clay is not working he can be found boxing, spending time with his friends, family, and wife Lara, or working on cars and motorcycles with his father. Clay also enjoys volunteering within his church and community.

About Becky Gentry

Becky Gentry joined Morgan Stanley in January of 2018 after 21 years at Wells Fargo Advisors as a Senior Registered Client Associate. She is most passionate about caring for and nurturing our clients by assisting them in addressing and resolving their needs, especially during times of stress or loss. Becky's current responsibilities on the team include day-to-day operational support, digital engagement and account documentation procedures, execution of investment trades, and assisting with preparation for client meetings.

Becky attended Alvernia University, where she received a B.S. in Accounting and MBA in business administration. She and her husband, Ed, live in Thomasville, NC with their four rescue beagles. Her hobbies include running, hiking, and volunteering for Whole Lotta Love Doggy Transport.
