Meet The Malamut Group
About Chuck Malamut
With more than 35 years of financial services experience. Chuck has helped hundreds of clients retire in comfort, navigate unruly markets and pursue their goals with greater confidence. An Atlantic City native, Chuck represents the third generation of a family renowned for its ownership of several major hotels. Chuck always thought he would follow in his family’s footsteps, so after graduating from Cornell University’s School of Hotel Management, he moved to Las Vegas with the intention of learning the casino business and helping his family transition to Atlantic City’s new legalized gambling environment. After working at several major casinos over the next ten years and moving back to New Jersey where he served as Director of Hotel Operations at The Golden Nugget, Chuck realized he needed a career change. “I wanted to do something more meaningful,” he explains. “I wanted to be able to communicate with people on a personal level and do the right thing for them.”
Chuck joined Merrill Lynch and built a successful practice over the next 28 years before moving to Morgan Stanley in 2014. “I love what I do,” he says, “and I feel that the commitment we bring to our clients distinguishes us in the marketplace. Clients can always reach us and be confident that if we don’t come up with solutions immediately, we will keep working until we figure out a way to address the issues they face.”
Throughout his career, Chuck has received numerous accolades from the financial media. He was named one of the Top 1200 Advisors in the US by Barron’s in 2020, 2019, 2018, 2017 and 2014. He was also cited by Forbes as one of New Jersey’s Best-in-State Wealth Advisors every year from 2018-2024
In addition to his work with individual clients and their families, Chuck advises corporate clients on their 401(k) and other retirement plans. A Chartered Retirement Plans Consultant and Morgan-Stanley-credentialed Corporate Retirement Plan Director, he helps plan sponsors reduce costs, fulfill their fiduciary responsibilities, increase plan participation, and educate employees on preparing for life after work.
Outside the office, Chuck has been hosting a talk radio show on finance for 32 years. You can hear him every Tuesday at 8am on WPG, 1450. He also tries to get to the gym every day and spend as much time as he can with his wife Pam and their two grown children, Frank and Marlee.

About Frank Malamut
Frank Malamut is a Financial Advisor with Morgan Stanley in Northfield, N.J. He joined the firm in 2022 after spending nearly four years as a loan officer at two mortgage companies following college graduation. Frank has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Delaware, where he majored in finance and minored in economics. He continued his studies at the University of Delaware where he received a dual masters in finance and business administration.
Finance has been an integral part of Frank’s life long before he studied it in school. His father has worked as a Financial Advisor for more than 35 years, and introduced Frank to Wall Street early in life, helping him buy his first stock when he was in high school.
“Growing up, there were always discussions around the dinner table about the stock market and what made it move,” Frank recalls. “During those formative years, my interest in the business and financial world piqued.”
In his current role, Frank serves mostly pre-retirees, young professionals and small business owners. He is particularly adept at keeping his clients well-informed, thanks to the global resources and vast capabilities available to him at Morgan Stanley and the various newsletters to which he subscribes.
Given his strong knowledge base, Frank is excellent at explaining complex financial issues in easy-to-understand language and helping clients identify their diverse needs and plan for their unique long-term goals. He has strong communication skills and is an excellent listener. He is also very effective at taking emotions out of investing when markets become volatile.
When Frank is not advising clients, he enjoys working out by lifting weights, watching sports, particularly football and rugby, and playing hockey.

3Investors should consider many factors before deciding which 529 plan is appropriate. Some of these factors include: the Plan’s investment options and the historical investment performance of these options, the Plan’s flexibility and features, the reputation and expertise of the Plan’s investment manager, Plan contribution limits and the federal and state tax benefits associated with an investment in the Plan. Some states, for example, offer favorable tax treatment and other benefits to their residents only if they invest in the state’s own Qualified Tuition Program. Investors should determine their home state’s tax treatment of 529 plans when considering whether to choose an in-state or out-of-state plan. Investors should consult with their tax or legal advisor before investing in any 529 Plan or contact their state tax division for more information. Morgan Stanley Smith Barney LLC does not provide tax and/or legal advice. Investors should review a Program Disclosure Statement, which contains more information on investment options, risk factors, fees and expenses and possible tax consequences.
