About James Pelgrift
Jim Pelgrift is a Financial Advisor with Morgan Stanley Wealth Management, based in the Firm’s Ridgefield, CT branch. His practice is focused on serving client families as their primary wealth care advisor. In this capacity he offers financial planning, advice, and solutions that help clients navigate safely through life’s transitions in today’s uncertain environment. As a licensed Securities and Commodities Broker, Investment Advisor Representative, and Insurance Agent, Jim can offer clients a full range of premium financial products and services, sourced and supported by the unparalleled global Morgan Stanley platform.
Jim began his professional career at Morgan Stanley, where he has since served for more than twenty-five years. He has held several senior management positions, including International Syndicate Manager (London), Co-Head of Global Capital Markets Services, and ultimately as a Managing Director and Global Head of Emerging Markets Debt Financing.
In the mid-2000, he decided to leave Wall Street to pursue activities more consistent with his personal values and interests at the time. He established a Registered Investment Advisory firm, Park Ridge Advisors, LLC, and for ten years he provided financial advisory services to a diverse client base of families, small businesses, and non-profits. During this period, he also devoted substantial time, energy, and financial resources to a variety of schools, museums and other educational non-profit organizations, a passion for which he holds to this day.
Jim was educated at the Loomis Chaffee School; Harvard University, where he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree with honors in Economics; and the Stanford Graduate School of Business, where he earned a Master of Business Administration as an Arjay Miller Scholar, a distinction awarded to the top 10% of the graduating class.
At present, Jim continues to excel in his role as a Financial Advisor on the Litchfield Hills Group. His impressive track record, extensive experience, and dedication to providing exceptional client service make him a vital asset to both his clients and the firm.
