How We Work

Our disciplined, values-based approach is designed to focus on your unique set of goals. By following these four comprehensive steps, we are able to recommend and implement appropriate solutions to help you achieve- and maintain- financial success by you and your family.
1. Identify Goals and Prioritize
At the outset of our relationships, we have all new clients complete a brief questionnaire that allows us to take a full inventory of your current financial situation, including your goals, risk tolerance, assets, liabilities, and then simply who you are as a person. Most importantly, we want to understand what keeps you up at night in terms of your finances. Once these priorities are set, we can begin to have a conversation about planning.
2. Collaborative Review
Once we understand more about our new clients, we sit down to go over the questionnaire together in order to determine more of the details of what they would like to accomplish, and find any holes that may exist, if any. It is in this meeting where we are able to begin to outline a plan that is customized to each client and their unique circumstances.
3. Run Plan and Analyze Probability of Success
Here we establish a formal plan designed with our clients’ ultimate goals in mind. Through this plan, we will be able to determine the required rate of return necessary to achieve their objectives, and how likely success is based on current assumptions. If any adjustments to the plan are needed in order to increase the probability of success, it will be done before being implemented.
4. Monitor Over Time
After implementation, constant monitoring is needed to ensure success over time. We meet regularly with our clients in order to update them on their performance, and for them to update us on any changes in their life that may require an adjustment to their plan.

About Robin S S Grace
A Financial Advisor for over three decades, Robin S. Grace has successfully helped individuals, families, non-profits, business owners, and businesses focus on comprehensive wealth planning in order to manage risk and invest with purpose. Over the course of her career, Robin has come to believe that one must first establish goals before putting together an actionable wealth plan, and this is a philosophy that she has built into all aspects of her practice.
Robin’s career in financial advisory began after graduating from Trinity College in 1990 with a degree in Psychology. Beginning at Shearson Lehman Brothers, which through a series of acquisitions eventually became Morgan Stanley, she has worked with a diverse group of clients over the years to help articulate what their goals are and determine the best course of action to meet those goals. This has included working with attorneys, accountants, and especially the children and grandchildren of clients who, in many cases, have become clients themselves and are the inspiration for the name, The Lineage Group.
Robin has also been committed to expanding her knowledge in order to better her clients. This led her to earn her Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor certification which seeks to define a “road map to retirement,” enabling financial advisors to focus on clients’ pre- and post-retirement needs, as well as issues related to asset management, long term care challenges and estate planning. This commitment to clients has not gone without recognition, as Robin has been named both a Top Woman Wealth Advisor in 2020-2024 and Best-In-State Wealth Advisor by Forbes Magazine for 2020-2024. She is particularly proud of her team’s honor that they’ve received in 2022-2025 as one of Forbes’ Best-In-State Management Teams.
Outside of work, Robin is very committed to volunteering for a number of non-profits including YMCA Camp Woodstock, Invest it Forward, which provides youth education on financial markets and literacy, and she is also an active alumna volunteer for Trinity College and for the Miracle League of MA. She lives in Concord, MA with her husband, Bill, and their two sons, Ryan and Ben. She enjoys playing golf, squash, paddle tennis and tennis.
