Matt graduated from University School and Miami University where he earned a B.A. in Economics and Political Science and also earned a B.S. in Business Economics.
Matt has been married to his wife, DeAnna for over 30 years and has three wonderful children. Along with being the Head Coach of The University of Akron’s Ice Hockey Team, Matt is a member of Legatus, a graduate of The Leadership Stark County Signature Program, former Chairman of the local chapter of Ducks Unlimited and a 20-year volunteer with The Pro Football Hall of Fame’s Transportation Committee. In his free time, Matt is an avid reader, a conservative motorcycle rider, a mediocre hockey player and a frustrated golfer.
