About Me
Pennie is a Senior Vice President – Wealth Management with 41 years of experience in the investment advisory and financial planning industry. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications, Journalism and Business from the University of South Florida. Pennie began her career in newspaper, television and public relations before transitioning into the investment advisory and financial planning industry.
Pennie prepares customized financial plans for clients, which are monitored and reviewed to help keep them on track toward their goals. She has been preparing financial plans long before formal plans were commonplace, originally using a yellow legal pad. Pennie treats her clients like family and is committed to helping them navigate the financial situations that may arise throughout life. Through her multigenerational, planning-based practice, Pennie and her team offer investment advice designed to help clients grow and preserve their assets. Life insurance, long-term care insurance, estate planning strategies and lending solutions are also important parts of the comprehensive financial services Pennie and her team provide. Pennie also helps clients think through estate planning considerations as part of a broader wealth management strategy, working with them to align their financial goals with their legacy, family, and multi-generational planning needs. As a leader in financial planning within her practice, Pennie likes to say, “We don’t make a move forward without a plan in place.”
Pennie’s practice is also deeply rooted in family. She loves balancing life with her husband, Tom, as well as sharing the financial services industry with him. With their son, Will, recently joining the team, the practice has become a true family business — one that blends Pennie’s decades of experience with the energy, perspective and continuity of the next generation.
Outside of work, Pennie’s interests include her faith, family, friends and travel.
In her community, Pennie has volunteered with the Junior League of Huntsville since 1990 and the Huntsville Symphony Guild since 2006. She has also been involved with Lincoln Village Ministry, Village of Promise, Boys & Girls Club, Habitat for Humanity, the Huntsville Museum of Art, Westminster Christian Academy and the WEDC foundation annual fundraiser women honoring women.
