About Steve Kaufman
Growing up in Parsippany, NJ, Steve was raised by two-hard working parents who ran a successful business in a nearby town. They worked long days and even longer weeks. Their dedication to their customers – treating everyone like family – was a principle that would become Steve’s “North Star” as he graduated from Fairleigh Dickenson University and moved to Florida. He began his career at Halpert, Oberst and Company, a municipal bond brokerage company located in Hallandale. The next 40+ years were filled with new and expanding opportunities that took Steve to such firms as Prudential Securities, Smith Barney and Merrill Lynch. He joined Morgan Stanley in 2019 and has been an invaluable member of the firm ever since.
For over 40 years, Steve has worked in the financial industry, building a successful practice and advising families on how to better understand and manage their total financial picture. His process begins with asking the right questions and listening carefully to deeply understand each client’s goals, values and circumstances. This information then serves as the foundation of a customized plan and investment portfolio. Steve enjoys educating clients so they can do more with their wealth now, while strengthening their long-term financial security.
Steve believes balance is vital to a happy life. He and his wife, Denise, have been married since 1991 and live in the same house they purchased over 30 years ago. They have three sons, Jacob, Joshua and Luke. Outside of the office, Steve loves to stay active. Favorite activities include pickleball, clay shooting, working out and training for half-marathons. He and Denise travel regularly across the country to participate in the marathon circuit. They also love to spend time enjoying the tranquility of their lake home in Lake Placid, Florida.
