Meet The Journey Group

About Allan J. Klenke

Allan Klenke brought his team to Morgan Stanley in August 2020, after 28 years with UBS. Their focus is to serve corporations and their employees in the equity compensation segment. As a partner of The Austin Silicon Hills Group, Allan’s primary responsibilities include overall team strategy and working with key corporate and individual clients.

He started in the industry after earning a BA in Business from the University of Kansas and an MBA in Finance from the University of Notre Dame in 1990. He developed the business serving clients of major corporations. For three years, Allan turned his focus to the UBS home office product area and took on responsibilities of branch management. He returned to the team with new skills from that experience. Allan then sought the Senior Portfolio Manager designation, which was awarded in 2010. The team was then able to focus on portfolio construction for ultra-high net worth executives. Allan was named to Financial Times 400 Top Financial Advisers in March 2018.

Allan serves on the board of Paradisus Dei, a faith-based non-profit that works to strengthen marriages and families and runs a men’s program, That Man is You!, which has over 25,000 active participants across the country each week.

For leisure, Allan enjoys running, golf, and snow skiing, when he can get
away. He and his brothers own a ranch near Columbus, Texas, where they have planted a vineyard and enjoy gathering the entire Klenke clan.

About Timothy L. O'Connor

Timothy O’Connor has been in wealth management since 1992 and currently heads up Portfolio Management and Client Engagement with The Austin Silicon Hills Group. He earned a Bachelor of Science from University of Notre Dame in 1986 – he actually started out in Pre-med - and an MBA in Finance from University of Texas at Austin in 1988.

Tim’s first job was with MONY Financial Services, which was limited to offering insurance and annuity products, but it sparked his interest and began a foundation in estate planning. Tim has found that working with a team of talented and committed people allows the individuals to develop the skills and knowledge that benefit the group and complements aptitudes that make our work life more enjoyable. Our team has found a niche delivering personalized advice and wealth management acumen to corporate stock benefit plan participants and executives. We have a depth of knowledge on tax management and strategies to help handle concentrated positions. Tailored financial planning is the keystone to delivering personalized investment strategies that help our clients meet liquidity needs, address the challenge of longevity, and consider the legacy they will leave to the next generation and their community.

Tim is a 3rd generation Houstonian. He is happiest with his wife of 27 years, Kari, who is a life-long teacher and now director of the pre-school that their daughter, Caroline, attended. Caroline is now a pre-med student at TCU. Tim and Kari are regular church members and enjoy supporting a food fair outreach project. Tim is a fan of the Rockets and of course the Irish. Go Irish!
