Our Story and Services

The Hunter Jacobs Group was established to provide holistic financial planning.

We believe financial planning is the roadmap towards attaining financial independence, enhancing and maintaining economic status, and creating generational wealth. Thoughtful planning not only helps achieve the outcomes you envision, but also connects family generations together through values and life lessons.

As your financial planner, we are focused on helping you reach your greatest objectives with simplicity, transparency, and a disciplined process to measure progress and keep you on track.

The combined experience, knowledge, and credentials – combined with the resources available at Morgan Stanley – allow us to counsel you on every aspect of your financial life.

Our Services Include:

A financial plan can help build confidence in your financial future and ability to achieve long-term goals. We work with you and other trusted professionals as needed to develop a comprehensive plan offering pre and post retirement cash flows, detailed tax analysis, and sophisticated estate planning strategies.

Estate Planning Strategies
Our Wealth and Estate Planning team is available to review the attributes of your current estate plan and identify planning techniques in relation to your current circumstances and goals. Collaborating with your external tax and legal advisers, we can facilitate the creation of a new plan designed to meet your estate planning objectives.

Tax Planning
We work with you and your external tax advisor to review your current tax situation and identify strategies that can help improve tax efficiency throughout your plan; both during the wealth accumulation and distribution phase.

Portfolio Construction and Investment Management
Our goal is to construct a diversified portfolio that is aligned with your objectives and risk tolerance. Asset allocation is driven by the investment insight of our Global Investment Committee (GIC), and the pursuit of returns are done in a tax efficient manner. Portfolios are monitored, evaluated, and rebalanced to maintain diversification and react to changing market conditions and your financial goals.

Charitable/Philanthropic Planning
We take the time to understand your personal values, the causes you're passionate about, and work with you to create a tax and cost-efficient charitable plan.

Working With You

Our clients look to us for advice that includes their investments but goes far beyond to encompass business planning, investment management, lending strategies and other dimensions of their financial lives. That is why we employ a comprehensive financial planning approach that consists of the following steps:
Step 1: Initial Call
An initial call in which we’ll discuss what you hope to get from a relationship with us. We’ll ask you about your previous experiences with Financial Advisors or on your own. And we’ll discuss what you perceive to be your major objectives and potential obstacles to achieving them.
Step 2: Discovery Meeting
A discovery meeting in which we will take inventory of your finances and what you want your wealth to accomplish. We’ll identify your goals, attempt to quantify their cost, and determine whether you have the resources to achieve them within your required timeframe.
Step 3: Plan Presentation
A Plan presentation meeting in which we’ll present your financial plan and the strategies it suggests for filling any gaps between your goals and resources. Your plan will contain an asset allocation based on the size of those gaps and your risk tolerance.
Step 4: Plan Implementation
Plan implementation that involves bringing your plan to life. This may entail additional consultation with Morgan Stanley professionals who focus on business planning, lending strategies and other disciplines relevant to your situation. It will also involve the development of a personalized investment strategy.
Step 5: Ongoing Evaluation
Ongoing evaluation to help us determine whether you are proceeding toward your financial destination as anticipated. We monitor your performance on an ongoing basis and may alter our strategies to accommodate changing circumstances in your life or trends in the financial markets.
Step 6: Next Steps
If this sounds like what you need to help gain confidence in your financial life and you’re ready to explore what that could look like, let’s schedule a time for a 30-minute connection conversation.
