Our Story and Services

Our approach to financial stewardship is to help you answer three complex, yet fundamental questions: 1) am I currently doing the right things to benefit my family, 2) have I missed anything that could harm my family, or 3) have I overlooked any opportunities that could improve my family’s progress?

When you entrust your wealth to our professional care, we will work with you in stewarding your wealth. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed because of the complexity of managing substantial wealth, or you would rather free up some time to pursue interests other than wealth management, our primary concern is always working to increase your family’s confidence and well-being. We endeavor to accomplish those aims by using a time tested financial management process, focusing on the elements of a financial strategy that are at least partially within your control (e.g., spending, saving, the amount of risk you feel comfortable taking). It's a process that has helped clients just like you work towards their financial goals.

By designing, implementing and monitoring your customized family wealth management strategy, we will help you determine if you're currently doing the right things to the benefit of your family in the near- and long term. We utilize an in-depth process customized to each family’s unique needs, to assess if anything has been overlooked that could be harmful to your family and to help ensure that no opportunity has been missed to advance progress towards your most cherished family goals.

Our clients want to be smart with their money. To that end, our commitment to you is to seek to develop a tax-aware, cost-efficient, high value strategic plan with the right investments to fit your life goals. We'll help you gain confidence by aiming to ensure that you have a complete understanding of the plan; and we'll guide you and your loved ones over time -- especially in times of crisis -- to help you stay the course, making adjustments along the way as life throws its curve balls.

In addition, for those interested in exploring the intersection of faith and finances, Brad, Dean and Caleb work to help our Christian clients navigate the challenges of incorporating their faith and moral values into all facets of investment, financial and estate planning strategies, as well as gifting and wealth transfer decisions.

Investing in the market entails the risk of market volatility. The value of all types of investments may increase or decrease over varying time periods. The returns on a portfolio consisting primarily of faith-based, racial equity, DEI and ESG investments may be lower or higher than a portfolio that is more diversified or where decisions are based solely on investment considerations. Because faith-based, racial equity, DEI and ESG criteria exclude some investments, investors may not be able to take advantage of the same opportunities or market trends as investors that do not use such criteria.

Kairos Legacy Group named to Forbes Best-in-State Wealth Management Teams - 2025
Source: Forbes (Jan 2025) 2025 Forbes Best-In-State Wealth Management Teams ranking awarded in 2025. This ranking was determined based on an evaluation process conducted by SHOOK Research LLC (the research company) in partnership with Forbes (the publisher) for the period from 3/31/23–3/31/24. Neither Morgan Stanley Smith Barney LLC nor its Financial Advisors or Private Wealth Advisors paid a fee to SHOOK Research LLC, for placement on its rankings. This ranking is based on in-person and telephone due diligence meetings to evaluate each Financial Advisor qualitatively, a major component of a ranking algorithm that includes client retention, industry experience, review of compliance records, firm nominations, and quantitative criteria, including assets under management and revenue generated for their firms. Investment performance is not a criterion. Rankings are based on the opinions of SHOOK Research LLC and may not be representative of any one client’s experience; investors must carefully choose the right Financial Advisor or team for their own situation and perform their own due diligence. This ranking is not indicative of the Financial Advisor’s future performance. Morgan Stanley Smith Barney LLC is not affiliated with SHOOK Research LLC or Forbes. A Senior Vice President at Morgan Stanley, Brad was an early adopter of financial planning, earning his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER TM (CFP®) designation in 1988. In 2005, he added two more important designations: Certified Investment Management Analyst® (CIMA®) conferred by the Wharton School of Business; as well as the Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy® (CAP®), conferred by the American College. Lastly, in 2021 Brad added the Certified Exit Planning Advisor® (CEPA®) to his earned credentials. In addition to these four industry recognized designations, Brad has earned the right to use Morgan Stanley’s designations: Family Wealth Advisor and Alternative Investments Director. Finally, Brad has earned the right to use the Certified Kingdom Advisor (CKA®) designation conferred by Kingdom Advisors, a member driven fellowship of Christian Financial Advisors. The significance of all these designations reflects Brad’s personal and professional commitment to excellence in the generational stewardship of client’s assets, all the while guiding clients through the myriad of choices they face as they seek to preserve and growth their wealth, at the same time being tax-smart and cost conscience.

Brad is an active member of Kingdom Advisors, who have honored him twice with prestigious awards. In February 2018, Brad received Kingdom Advisors’ highest award, the Larry Burkette Award, recognizing service to community; and in February 2013, he was presented with Kingdom Advisors’ Russell E. Miller Community Leadership Award. Brad is a national leader and very active with the Christian Focus Group at Morgan Stanley, serving 450+ members.

Locally, Brad supports the Charitable Gift Planners of Indiana, the local chapter of the National Association of Charitable Gift Planners. Brad and his team have sponsored three “Hands of Hope” client events in conjunction with the Salvation Army, designed to allow parents and grandparents the opportunity, in a hands-on environment, to model volunteerism for their children and grandchildren; as well as a client event that supported ICAN, an Indianapolis based non-profit that trains assistance dogs for a variety of services for the disabled community.

Personally, Brad gives back in a variety of ways. He is a co-founder and leader of Rethinking Wealth, a movement of Central Indiana Christian financial advisors. Brad has participated in three and led three work teams building school classrooms, a medical dispensary, two churches and even helped with the electrical work on a hydro-electric dam built to supply power to a hospital, all in Kenya, Africa. In 2018, along with four other Morgan Stanley advisors, they visited Syrian refugee camps in Beirut Lebanon, and raised $50,000 for humanitarian relief.
