Our Process

At the Hudson Koppy Group, we follow a six-step process when it comes to managing your wealth.
· We believe it is important for you to have a clear understanding of the services we provide, the approach that we take and the overall value of doing business with us. We also want you to understand that you too will play an integral role in achieving your financial success.

· It is imperative that we learn about your overall financial situation and work with you to define your personal goals, needs and priorities. We want to learn about your family, your business and your philanthropic endeavors as well.

· We then go through the process of analyzing your current investment strategy. We will look at things such as your desired retirement age and income needs, and evaluate how economic factors like inflation rates and investment returns will impact your ability to reach your financial goals.

· Combined with our extensive experience, we utilize the tools of the Morgan Stanley platform to build a customized plan designed to help grow and preserve your wealth. It is our duty to identify the opportunities and solutions that are appropriate for you and to share those ideas with you.

· After we agree on a strategy, we will then spearhead the process of implementing the plan, explaining the necessary activities, associated costs and expectations along the way.

· Once the plan is in place, it becomes our responsibility to ensure that we remain on track. The plan may evolve over time as your life changes or as various market conditions impact your strategy. Therefore, we believe in proactive communication and in keeping you informed along the way.

        Meet The Hudson Koppy Group

        About Me

        With over 30 years of experience in the financial services industry, Mark brings a diverse wealth management background to the team. He currently serves as First Vice-President of The Hudson Koppy Group. Mark joined Morgan Stanley in 2010 after spending the previous 24 years at Merrill-Lynch. He is a Certified Investment Management Analyst® and has extensive experience in the institutional investing space, having worked with numerous municipalities, pension plans, endowments and foundations throughout the state of Louisiana over the years. 

        A Marine Corps Veteran, Mark grew up in Metairie, La. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Management from Southeastern Louisiana University and an MBA from Tulane University. He is Series 7 and Series 66 licensed and also holds a Louisiana license for Life, Health and Variable insurance.

        Outside of work, Mark is very active in his church and the local community. He is an ordained minister in the Episcopal Church, serving at St. Mark’s in Harvey, La., and he holds a Masters in Theology and Pastoral Care from Loyola University of New Orleans. Mark also serves as a Chaplain for the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office. 

        Mark and his wife Debbie live in New Orleans and are the proud parents of two children, Melinda and Daniel. In their spare time they enjoy traveling and spending time with their three grandchildren—DJ, Aubrey and Avery.

        About Me

        Drawing on an extensive financial services background, Karl’s primary focus is helping retirement-aged investors understand the intricate details of their personal wealth along with assisting them in securing their financial future. By identifying what is most important to each individual and their family, Karl develops customized plans designed to build, preserve and ultimately transition each client’s wealth. 

        A Michigan native, Karl holds a B.S. Degree in Economics, an MBA from the University of Detroit Mercy and is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER ™.

        Prior to entering the financial services industry, Karl held senior management and CFO positions in the office equipment and computer technology industries in Austin and Houston. His educational background and work experience give him the ability to advise individuals, businesses and associations with an high level of sophistication. Karl works closely with his client’s tax and legal advisors to seeking to provide a cohesive and coordinated approach to wealth management.

        An active member of his community, Karl currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Rotary Club of New Orleans as the Treasurer. Karl and his wife Penny live in New Orleans with their two English Bulldogs, Nikki and Brunswick. They enjoy traveling internationally to new locations and have been to 36 different countries.

        Cyndi brings over 35 years of experience in financial services to the team. As Senior Registered Associate, she is often the first point of contact for clients calling in with questions about their accounts. Cyndi assists clients and advisors with various administrative tasks, such as opening accounts, transfers and ensuring that paperwork is properly filled out and processed. She began her career with Howard Weil Labouisse Fredrichs, Inc., working in operations before moving into her current role. Cyndi holds a Series 7, Series 66 and a Life, Health and Variable Louisiana insurance license.

        Born and raised in New Orleans, Cyndi now calls Metairie home along with her beloved pets: five birds and two dogs. She is active in her church, where she shares her talent as a singer. During her down time Cyndi loves to crochet or spend time with friends and family.
