About James N. Holzapfel

For more than 45 years, Jim has earned the confidence and trust of clients by addressing their complex financial needs. Jim is particularly adept at helping clients plan for the next stage of their lives, often finding ways to replace earned income with retirement income. He applies sound financial principles to service individuals, business entities, retirement plans and foundations.

Jim earned a degree from the University of Maryland School of Business and completed the three-year Securities Industry Institute® (SII) at the Wharton School of Business. Jim joined Kidder, Peabody & Co., a predecessor firm to Wells Fargo Advisors, in 1971. In 2020 Jim and his team joined Morgan Stanley. Based in Hagerstown, Maryland, Jim has been a long-time supporter of the community. Board affiliations include leadership in area charitable foundations, committee designations and historical enterprises. Jim and his wife have four children; his sons Richie and Tad are partners in the Holzapfel Group at Morgan Stanley. Jim enjoys playing golf and tennis.

About K. Richard Holzapfel

Richie's career in the finance industry began in 2010. After two years as a registered associate with Morgan Stanley, Richie became a Financial Advisor with the Holzapfel Investment Group of Wells Fargo Advisors in 2012. In 2020 Richie and his team joined Morgan Stanley.

In 2017 Richie obtained his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification and in 2018 and 2019 Richie was named as a Forbes Top Next-Gen Wealth Advisor.**

Richie received his B.A. in Economics from Hampden-Sydney College in central Virginia where he was part of a nationally ranked tennis team and led fundraising efforts during his senior year. Active in the local community, Richie is a member of The Greater Hagerstown Committee, a board member of The Arc of Washington County, and a 2015 graduate of Leadership Washington County. Richie and his wife live in Hagerstown and have two sons, one daughter, a golden retriever, and a newfoundland. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with family, listening to music, and playing golf and tennis.

About William C. "Tad" Holzapfel

Prior to joining the team in September of 2017, Tad spent three years as a performance analyst with Cambridge Associates, LLC in Arlington, VA. Tad graduated with academic distinction from the Virginia Military Institute with a BA in Economics and Business and was a member of Omicron Delta Epsilon – International Honor Society in the field of Economics.

In 2019 Tad obtained his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification and is Series 7 and 66 registered. He is a 2019 graduate of Leadership Washington County, volunteers with Big Brothers Big Sisters Washington County, and currently serves on the board of the Maryland Symphony Orchestra.

Tad lives in Hagerstown and during his free time enjoys spending time with his friends, staying active, and supporting the Maryland Terrapins.

Karen holds associate degrees in accounting and marketing from Hagerstown Business College, and is Series 7 and 66 registered. Karen and her husband have two children.

About Kristen Thomas

Kristen joined the team in 2016 and assists in all aspects of client service and administration. Having worked in the luxury hotel industry and as a Special Assistant in Nashville and Washington, D.C., Kristen developed an exceptional client service standard that she applies to her work today.

Kristen graduated from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, VA. She and her husband live in Boonsboro.

About Bonnie Yetter

Bonnie joined the team in 2021 with over 14 years of experience providing exceptional customer service and working diligently to meet client needs. Bonnie began her career in wealth management in December 2007 and served as a Senior Registered Client Associate until April 2019 when she accepted a position as an Associate Complex Manager.

Bonnie attended Frostburg University earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration in May 2000. Bonnie currently holds her Series 7, 9, 10, 63 and 65 Securities Licenses.

Bonnie currently resides in Clear Spring with her two dogs Frankie and Floyd. She volunteers in her community for the Clear Spring American Legion Auxiliary and was a past board member of The Parent Child Center in Hagerstown. In her free time she enjoys cooking, outdoor activities, traveling, reading and spending time with her twin sons Ryan and Eric as well as family and friends.
