About Monty Holcombe

Monty Holcombe is a Managing Director, Family Wealth Advisor, and Resident Manager in College Station. He is the founding and senior member of The Holcombe Group at Morgan Stanley with three decades of experience in wealth management.
An industry veteran, Monty has dedicated his career to providing wealth management strategies for individuals, families, family foundations, business owners, and institutions, in Texas and across the country. Monty works diligently to demystify the investment and planning process by understanding client goals and values, and articulating the key activities needed to accomplish each goal. Most importantly, he focuses on creating long-term, trusting relationships to help his clients manage the complex, multi-generational challenges that accompany significant wealth.
Monty and his team utilize the full range of Morgan Stanley Wealth Management resources to tailor investment portfolios and strategies to meet their client’s needs, goals, and objectives.
A proud graduate of Texas A&M University, Monty remains deeply engaged with his alma mater. He serves on the Leadership Council of the Association of Former Students, is a member of the Texas A&M Chancellor’s Century Council, as well as the 12th Man Foundation Champions Council. His commitment to give back extends beyond the university, having served on the boards of the American Cancer Society and the American Heart Association.

Emily Duncan is an experienced portfolio associate for The Holcombe Group at Morgan Stanley. With over 25 years in the financial services industry, including a decade at Morgan Stanley, she has built a strong foundation in client service, administrative support, and portfolio management.

Emily has accumulated extensive experience in financial services, contributing significantly to The Holcombe Group’s operations. Her decade-long tenure at Morgan Stanley highlights her commitment to the firm and its clients.

In her role, Emily is responsible for a range of administrative and client support functions including assisting clients with account-related inquiries and documentation, preparing and reviewing portfolio reviews, ensuring accuracy and compliance in financial documentation, and supporting the team with various operational and administrative tasks.

Emily is dedicated to providing exceptional service to clients, ensuring their needs are met with professionalism and efficiency. Her experience and attention to detail contribute to the seamless management of client portfolios and overall operational success. Emily’s extensive experience, commitment to excellence, and proficiency in administrative and portfolio-related tasks make her an integral part of the team’s success.

Emily graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and is a member of the Texas A&M Association of Former Students.

Emily and her husband Mike share a love for adventure, family, and sports. They enjoy traveling together, creating lasting memories with their three children and seven grandchildren. Whether exploring new destinations or simply spending quality time with their growing family, they cherish every moment. In addition to their travels, they are passionate supporters of all things Aggie, they love the thrill of riding dirt bikes, and the simple pleasure of unwinding and relaxing by the pool.

About William C. Hughes

William Hughes is a Registered Client Service Associate for The Holcombe Group at Morgan Stanley. He has five years of experience in the financial services industry. William strives to provide a pleasant and streamlined client experience. He performs various planning and analysis functions, including creating client financial plans, researching unique and complex client scenarios, analyzing client holdings and portfolios, and more.

William graduated from Hendrix College in Conway, Arkansas with a Bachelor in Business and Economics and was a member of the collegiate golf team.

William and his wife, Audrey, live in College Station with their daughters, Freya and Elsie, and enjoy leisure time with their friends and family. He also enjoys watching Aggie sports, working on cars, and playing a round of golf.

About Brenda Rowan

Brenda is a Portfolio Associate with The Holcombe Group at Morgan Stanley. She supports the Financial Advisors and has been servicing clients and handling branch operations since she joined Morgan Stanley in 2011. Her goal is to make sure that every client has an exceptional experience.

With over 45 years of experience in the financial industry, Brenda has held positions in retail and commercial banking, has served as a trust officer and ultimately transitioned into the investment field in 2008. The Holcombe Group benefits from her vast knowledge of the industry and her exquisite attention to detail.

Originally from Ft. Worth, Brenda relocated to the Bryan/College Station area over 40 years ago from Houston, Texas. Brenda has two daughters, and she and her husband, Terry, live in Bryan. Brenda and Terry are active members of Brazos Fellowship Church. She enjoys dancing, trips to the beach and spending quality time with family and friends.

About Carlee Jackson

Carlee Jackson is a Client Service Associate for The Holcombe Group at Morgan Stanley. With a solid foundation in Economics and Business, she takes pride in applying her education to her hands-on client service role, which she approaches with enthusiasm. Carlee’s attention to detail and commitment to excellence help the team deliver a seamless client experience. She plays a key role in managing the day-to-day operations, handling client inquiries, and supporting the financial planning process.

Carlee graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and a Minor in Business. She also earned the Business Economics Certificate (BEC), a prestigious program that integrates economic principles with business strategy. This program enhanced her analytical skills in data analysis and economic forecasting, which she applies daily to support financial planning and assist in optimizing client portfolios.

Outside of work, Carlee enjoys running and spending quality time with her family and friends, who are deeply important to her. Her strength comes from her strong Christian faith, which provides her with the foundation to face every challenge with resilience. Carlee also finds joy in cheering on the Aggies, bringing the same enthusiasm and spirit to every game as she does to her personal and professional life.
