About Me

Jim provides comprehensive, coordinated financial and investment plans to help achieve his client’s objectives through the life cycles they will experience. Including working with client’s CPAs and attorneys planning for their: wealth creation; cash flow needs; retirement goals; children’s education; philanthropy management; special situations and offering access to lending solutions.
He focuses on the spectrum of wealth and family issues of high net worth individuals and multi-generational families. He is a counselor and friend to his clients as they consider multiple life decisions.
He is a Senior Portfolio Director, Certified Financial Planner and Certified Investment Management Analyst. Jim received his Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Texas at Austin, and has completed graduate continuing education at Harvard University, The Wharton School and University of Texas.
Additionally, Jim is actively involved in many civic and philanthropic activities, such as the Dallas Holocaust and Human Rights Museum where he serves as a Lifetime Board Member. He also serves on the Advisory Council for the Communities Foundation of Texas. Outside of the office, Jim enjoys spending time with his wife, Ynette, two daughters and four grandchildren. Whenever he has the opportunity, Jim enjoys hiking and skiing in Colorado.

Rick provides thoughtful planning and proactive advice to clients and their families. He oversees portfolio management and design, and works closely with clients to create long-term, personalized financial plans.

Janna Birkner is a Portfolio Associate. She is passionate about helping our clients make the most of their financial goals. As a Portfolio Associate Janna is involved in the intricacies of our business, such as aiding clients through the complexities of inheriting, consolidating or passing down assets to the next generation. Janna is involved in most every aspect of our business, including placing trade orders, assisting in client account reviews, and daily client requests. Her depth of knowledge is beneficial to The Hogue/Fielder Group and clients alike. Janna’s extensive experience in the financial industry goes back to 1997 when she began working as a receptionist at Salomon Smith Barney. Janna has continued to grow and expand her skill set while always providing impeccable client service. Her steadfast work ethic is an invaluable asset to our clients and our team. In her free time, Janna enjoys researching her family’s ancestry, going to her daughter’s activities, and volunteering with her HOA, church and school.

About Me

Catherine joined the team in 2012 and views her service to our clients as a privilege. She shares in the day-to-day operations and administrative needs of our clients, including fund transfers, account queries, and trade orders. She is also engaged in cash flow and balance sheet analysis and the preparation of client account reviews. Her career in finance started with a small brokerage firm in the Philippines in 1996. She moved to New York City in 1997 and worked for three investment banks for over 14 years in the areas of: wealth management, credit risk, foreign exchange and prime brokerage; after which she moved to Dallas. Catherine’s experience and knowledge is a benefit to our clients’ financial success. Catherine continues to build on her knowledge of the markets, as she strives to provide superior service to our clients. Catherine is committed to her community. She is currently a member of Flight, a young professional organization affiliated with Dallas non-profit Vogel Alcove, which provides education and social services
to homeless children. She sings at her local church and has recently earned her certificate as a Zumba instructor. She likes to cook, read, work out, and spend time with her dogs Nino and Murphy.
