There is a process that we follow for each new addition to our practice- The initial meeting is always about discovery.  Without knowing as much as we can about you, it is nearly impossible to create an appropriate plan, so we will be asking questions, collecting statements, and assigning homework.


The next meeting will involve a presentation of the plan.  This is interactive and will be presented electronically so that changes can be made as the discussion happens.  Once finished we will have a plan in place that dictates, among other things, investment policy and estate strategies.  At this point we will establish a plan of contact moving forward, whether that means monthly, quarterly or annually, we will meet you where you are and work with your preferences.

Meet The Osprey Group

About Christopher R Davis

Chris began his career in the financial world at another firm in 2007 after college and 11 years in the U.S. Army. Growing up in a military family and serving helped him to understand the true meanings of duty and service. These were invaluable lessons to him when he began a career in the financial world at what was the front end of one of the worst bear markets in history. It was during this time that Chris realized that disciplined risk management and a defined, comprehensive process were imperative if his clients were to realize their financial goals. Chris joined Morgan Stanley in 2013 to take advantage of the open architecture platform, industry-leading research, and the best reputation on Wall Street.
Chris focuses on comprehensive financial planning and creative and nimble investment plans to help meet the goals and needs of his clients. He moved from Texas in March 2016 to Virginia Beach, Virginia to become the branch manager as well as advisor. He then passed that role on at the end of 2022 and now focuses exclusively on clients. He has two sons, John-Wesley and Liam, and has a wonderful wife named Courtney who is pursuing her Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner certification as well as her Ph.D. in Nursing. The boys play AAU basketball and Chris coaches. His family loves to travel to Europe, Disneyworld and the Caribbean, swim in the ocean, play sports, and serve in their church.

A graduate of Simmons College with a degree in Finance/Management, she is Series 7 registered and has worked with the Group since 1994 as one of the founding members of the Norfolk office of Legg Mason.
