About Jay Hesdorffer
Jay leads The Hesdorffer Team with more than 37 years of experience in personal wealth management. Having served at Morrison & Morrison Ltd. and Deposit Guarantee National Bank, Jay brings an extensive background in accounting, banking and advanced planning to the team. He received his BA in Professional Accounting from Mississippi State University and was awarded his Financial Planning Specialist designation in 2005. Chicago Magazine recognized Jay as a Five Star Wealth Manager for the last 13 consecutive years.
In addition to serving clients, Jay is committed to helping others. After hurricane Katrina and other storms ravaged the south, he was boots on the ground in Biloxi, Houston and Baton Rouge. He is immediate past Chair of the National Board of Directors for the Institute of Southern Jewish Life, a non profit dedicated to enhancing Jewish education and culture in 13 southern states. His work with the ISJL was awarded the Morgan Stanley Community Leadership Award in 2018.
