Meet The Hampton Group

About Me

Peter Gregory was born and raised in New York. He attended the Choate School, and went on to earn a BSFS in International Affairs from the Georgetown University Walsh School of Foreign Services and an MBA from Columbia School of Business Administration.

Mr. Gregory began his financial services career as a security analyst. He joined Drexel Burnham Lambert in London in 1973, as a specialist in CBOE Options dealing with European institutions, and in 1976 was given responsibility for the firm’s European sales force.

In 1979, Mr. Gregory returned to New York City to become head of Drexel’s international offices, also becoming partner in charge of the Asian offices.

Mr. Gregory left Drexel in 1989 to become President and CEO of Global Asset Management (USA). He later joined Citigroup Asset Management in 1994 and our predecessor firm Smith Barney in 2001.

Mr. Gregory brings over 40 years of investment experience to managing private client and institutional assets.

About Me

With over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry, Mr. Kramer joined the Hampton Group at Morgan Stanley Wealth Management in 2009 as a Senior Vice President and Portfolio Management Director.

After attending the Kent School in Connecticut, he went on to earn a BSBA in Finance from Villanova University in Pennsylvania and an MBA from Fordham University in New York.

Mr. Kramer began his career in 1988 with Financial Northeastern Securities - a firm specializing in fixed income investments, where his clients included banks, credit unions, and pension funds.

Having joined our predecessor firm Smith Barney in 1995 as a Financial Advisor, Mr. Kramer was promoted into branch management in 1998 and served in a variety of management roles at Morgan Stanley* in both New York and New Jersey.

Mr. Kramer is a native New Yorker, growing up on the Upper East Side in New York City, and currently lives on the South Shore of Long Island with his wife, Kate, and their three children.

About Me

With over thirty five years of investment management experience, Ms. Sonsino joined the Hampton Group at Morgan Stanley in 2016 as a Senior Vice President and Senior Portfolio Manager. Ms. Sonsino rejoins Morgan Stanley Wealth Management after eight years as a Senior Portfolio Manager and Wealth Advisor at UBS in New York.

Prior to joining Morgan Stanley’s Wealth Management Group, Ms. Sonsino spent seventeen years at Citigroup Asset Management and its predecessor firm Smith Barney Capital Management, where she served in a variety of roles. Most notably, Ms. Sonsino was Co-Chairman and Chief Investment Officer of Smith Barney Capital Management (SBCM), where she headed SBCM’s $11 billion asset management business of Value and GARP equity strategies. Ms. Sonsino had primary responsibility for the development and management of the Large Cap Value product which was marketed globally across all institutional and retail distribution platforms. In addition, Ms. Sonsino held day-to-day portfolio management responsibility of the firm’s largest institutional and retail assignments, including management of the Large Cap Value Mutual Fund and the Traveler’s Insurance Large Cap (Annuity) Fund. Ms. Sonsino held prior roles over her seventeen years with the firm, both as a senior portfolio manager, managing equity and balanced accounts, and as a research analyst.

Ms. Sonsino holds a B.A. from Smith College, and worked as a paralegal in the tax department at Sullivan & Cromwell LLP prior to obtaining an M.B.A. from Columbia University where she majored in finance. She also studied at the Institut Universitaire De Hautes Etudes Internationales in Geneva, Switzerland. Ms. Sonsino now resides in Westport, CT with her husband Isaac, after living for many years in New York City where their three daughters were raised.

About Me

Lisa Bjornson Wolf is an Executive Director at Morgan Stanley in New York.  Prior to joining Morgan Stanley, Ms. Wolf spent 13 years at JPMorgan in their Investment Bank and Asset Management divisions, most recently at the Private Bank’s Financial Institutions Group.  Ms. Wolf was formerly a Director at Salomon Smith Barney Citigroup in their International Institutional Equities Group, covering hedge funds and international asset managers. Ms. Wolf was awarded a Master of Science in International Economics and Japan Studies from Johns Hopkins University’s School for Advanced International Studies (SAIS) in Washington D.C., holds a B.A. cum laude from Cornell University’s College of Arts and Sciences, and is a graduate of the Hotchkiss School.

Ms. Wolf has served on many non-profit boards including Lapham’s Quarterly, Santa Barbara Museum of Art, The State Street Ballet, and the Healthcare Chaplaincy.  Originally from Greenwich, Connecticut, Ms. Wolf resides in NYC with her husband and two daughters.

About Me

Kenneth Henry has over 30 years of experience in financial services and began his career in 1980 as an equity trader at Drexel Burnham Lambert.

He moved to our predecessor firm Smith Barney, Harris Upham & Co. in 1990 where he served in a dual role as an assistant to the Deputy Chairman and Head of Operations of the International Money Management Group. He later took on the role of Equity Trader for the six portfolio managers within the group.

Currently a Vice President and Financial Advisor with The Hampton Group at Morgan Stanley Wealth Management, which manages assets for clients on a global basis, he is responsible for trading and investment related advice.

Mr. Henry has been married to his wife, Carol, for 20 years and has 3 children, and he is an active volunteer in the soccer and basketball programs in their hometown of East Brunswick NJ.

About Me

Amy Daly is an Assistant Vice President and Portfolio Management Associate with the Hampton Group at Morgan Stanley, and is responsible for the day to day operations & administration of client accounts.  She is well versed in all aspects of client service. 

Her career began in Finance at our predecessor firm, Shearson Lehman Brothers in 1992 where she worked in several areas of the operations department including cashiering, stock receivables and as a wire operator.   In 1997, Mrs. Daly joined the International Money Management department of Smith Barney Asset Management as their Operations Manager. 

Mrs. Daly attended her father’s alma mater, The Pennsylvania State University Smeal College of Business.  She graduated in 1992 with a BS in Finance and followed in both of her parents footsteps in the field of Finance.

Mrs. Daly is a native Long Islander who makes her home in Huntington Long Island  with her husband Jim and their two teenage children.  They enjoy living near Long Island Sound and are often boating in Huntington Harbor.

About Me

Cristobal Colon (Cris) was born and raised in the Upper West Side of New York City.  After attending Cardinal Hayes Memorial in the Bronx, he went on to earn a B.A. in Social Sciences at Dominican College of Blauvelt, NY.

Immediately after college, Mr. Colon decided to make a difference in his community by working with troubled families in New York City, as a case manager for a non-profit family assistance program.  There, he helped educate families and develop the necessary skills to prevent placement of their children into foster care.

Mr. Colon joined Citigroup Asset Management, in 2000, in the operations department where he performed cash management duties ranging from funds transfers to trading.  After his team transitioned in 2006, to our predecessor firm Smith Barney, he became a Senior Registered Associate.  This allowed him to work directly with clients, provide premier customer service, and utilize the skills he developed earlier in life as a case manager. 

Mr. Colon currently lives in the Van Cortlandt Park area of the Bronx where he lives with his partner, Lizandra, and two children.  He is a competitive bowler and loves spending time with his family.

About Me

Chase Altneu graduated from The University of Rhode Island in 2008 with a Bachelor’s degree in Finance and a minor in Economics. He started his career at our predecessor firm, Citi Smith Barney, as the New York City regional sales assistant where he handled administrative reporting for 10 branch offices. He subsequently became a client service representative where he worked with a team of financial advisors.

In 2012, Chase joined UBS Wealth Management as a senior registered client service associate where he worked with three separate groups, expanding his responsibilities in day to day operations management and client service. Chase returned  to Morgan Stanley in May of 2016 where he became a Wealth Management Associate. In January of 2017, he formally joined the Hampton Group, expanding his client service responsibilities with the team. Chase lives on the Upper East Side of Manhattan and in his spare time, enjoys volunteering at the King’s County Tennis League in Bedford Stuyvesant, Brooklyn.

About Me

Johanna Diesel was born in Norway and grew up in Southwest Texas on her family’s cattle ranch. Before joining the Hampton Group in 2018, Johanna worked as an analyst covering large-cap equities for an asset management firm in Houston. After attending The Hotchkiss School in Lakeville, CT, she earned a B.S.F.S. in International Economics with a concentration in Finance & Commerce from Georgetown University’s Walsh School of Foreign Service. She also completed a minor in Portuguese and received an Honors Certificate from the Karl F. Landegger Program in International Business Diplomacy. During her time at Georgetown, Johanna enjoyed mentoring and tutoring disadvantaged students, which she now continues through Morgan Stanley’s outreach programs. Ms. Diesel currently lives in the Chelsea area of Manhattan and enjoys exploring the city and getting out into nature as much as possible.
