About David K. Francis

As lead Portfolio Manager for the Generations Group at Morgan Stanley, David is responsible for building customized investment strategies and providing comprehensive financial planning services to his clients. David works with high-net-worth individuals, families, business owners and professionals to develop sophisticated investment solutions to complex financial challenges. He is relentlessly committed to providing the highest levels of portfolio management, financial and estate planning strategies, as well as white glove personalized service to current clients with an eye toward the future generations to come.

David brings more than 30 years of investment experience to the team, with a focus on portfolio management. He started his career with Smith Barney, a predecessor firm acquired by Morgan Stanley in 2009. He obtained the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation more than 25 years ago, which helped him recognize early on how clients’ benefit from a holistic approach to their financial service needs. In addition to being a Senior Vice President, David is also a Portfolio Management Director, which allows other Morgan Stanley financial advisors to enlist his assistance with their client portfolios, a designation held by a very limited number of advisors at the firm.

David is a UW-Madison Graduate and a Wisconsin native. David and his wife, Mary, live in Bayside, WI and have two daughters who are attending college. Mary is a singer-songwriter who releases her music under her maiden name Mary Karlzen. They are food and wine enthusiasts, enjoy many outdoor activities and are active in the community.

About Tom Howell

Tom has over 5 year’s experience in the financial services industry working with individuals, families, businesses and professionals committed to providing clear, straightforward financial advice to find the right investment solutions that fit their personal goals. Tom’s focus within the Generations Group at Morgan Stanley is to spearhead the team’s business operations, technology and communications, as well as cultivating new relationships.

Tom began his career in the financial services industry while attending Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI where he worked as a Client Associate at Merrill Lynch. After graduating, he worked as a Financial Technology Consultant with Fidelity National Information Systems (FIS) working with large financial institutions before joining The Generations Group at Morgan Stanley.

Originally from New Jersey, Tom moved to Milwaukee to pursue his Olympic Dream. He actively trains and competes as a member of Team USA in the Winter Olympic sport, Curling and is a US men’s National Champion (2021). Tom and his wife, Hanna, reside in Bayside and enjoy spending time with their Australian Shepherd, Oslo, as well as hiking, boating, golfing and vacationing in northern Wisconsin.

Aggie Bruge is the newest member of our team of professionals and is focused on everyday client service and support. As a Senior Registered Associate, Aggie is committed to building personal and professional relationships with clients, while also supporting our team. Responsible for administrative oversight and handling of client inquiries, she uses her extended knowledge and professional service to provide the best experience for clients. Tyson R. Abert is a Senior Private Banker serving Morgan Stanley Wealth Management offices in Wisconsin, Northern Ohio and Western Pennsylvania.

Senior Private Bankers partner with Financial Advisors to develop a specialized approach for managing clients’ cash flow, liquidity and financing needs, leveraging our comprehensive suite of cash management and lending solutions.

Tyson began his career in financial services in 2004, and joined Morgan Stanley in 2018. Prior to joining the firm, he served as a Business Development Manager and a Senior Relationship Manager at Wells Fargo’s Commercial Banking Services.

About Mamta Shah

Mamta Shah is the Trust Specialist based in Chicago, covering the Midwest Region. Morgan Stanley provides a full array of personal and institutional trust services to high net worth clients of the firm. Mamta’s responsibilities include educating Financial Advisors and their clients on the open architecture trust service model and helping them identify opportunities to leverage the trust partners on the platform.

Before joining Trust Services in 2010, she was the Wealth Analyst with the Chicago based Wealth Planning Center at Morgan Stanley. Mamta was responsible for providing information and education on a full range of income and estate tax topics and concerns.

About Lynn King

Lynn R. King is a Family Office Resource Generalist for the Mid-America region. She has over 15 years of experience working with families, family offices, and their attorneys, CPAs and financial advisors on issues unique to the UHNW client. Lynn started her career as an attorney in Illinois working with closely held businesses across the country on a broad range of topics, including entity structuring, estate planning, business succession and tax. She then joined New York Life Insurance as a Corporate Vice President in their Advanced Planning Group. In this role she expanded on her experience from private practice and engaged with clients on complex business and personal planning needs.
Lynn joined Morgan Stanley in September of 2020. As the Family Office Resource Generalist, Lynn provides advice and strategies to UHNW families. To that end, she assists families with the creation of family mission statements. She also educates adults and children on how to be good stewards of generational wealth. She engages with resources in philanthropy, wealth and estate planning and trust management to ensure the UHNW clients of the Firm are able to accomplish their goals.
Lynn received her undergraduate degree in Finance and Political Science from the University of Illinois- Urbana-Champaign. She attended The John Marshall Law School in Chicago, Illinois where she obtained her Juris Doctorate (J.D.) and is licensed to practice law in Illinois. She also holds her Series 7 and 66.
